I'm having a planned C-section (though not necessarily elective ) Feb. 22. My first was pretty traumatic EMCS after 32 hours of labor. She was stuck way down in my pelvis and they had to cut the inverted T to try to pull her out safely. I had a transfusion because my uterus wouldn't contract and I lost too much blood. They knocked me out, too, which just scared the crap out of me!
So they're doing this at week 37 (exactly 4 weeks from today) to avoid the chance of labor and/or rupture. Of course the intention is to cut a low transverse, but the thought of them ending up cutting the whole thing again really scares me!
I'm wondering if anyone has had an ELCS after an inverted T? Or a classical? Just wondering how it went for you, and if there were any complications caused by the first incision.
