We have just been told that due to little Bs brain tumor...where it was and the damage that could have been caused by her surgery...that her vocal cords are not working...she is going to have a trach and a stomach tube put in and I am just wondering if her vocal cords are paralyzed what does this mean for us when she "cries" or whatever...how are we going to sleep?! what do parents do in this situation?..shes only 10 months old so its not like she can get out of bed and come get us if she needs something..... has anyone had this and the cords eventually healed or regained function? our Dr said if they dont by 1 year or so from now then it prolly wouldnt happen at all... :nope:  it seems like it all just keeps getting worse and worse...things will be better now for her with a trach and stuff but it seems like in the long term things are going to be worse...
