Anyone have baby that fights naps then becomes craZy?

Sometimes I put my baby down in the crib for bedtime and she wakes up but doesn't cry. She makes noises though, like little groans. Is it considered "cry it out" when she makes these noises but I don't pick her up? Sometimes it goes into full cry so I pick her up and start the sleepy time process again, but occasionally she will groan then fall asleep.

No that's fine. You should pick her up if she's just complaining because u can give her a chance to resettle herself (which they often do). However if they cry then yes

Where is she napping? This sounds exactly like my son. He is 10 weeks and started fighting his naps like crazy around 4 weeks. Then he would get overtired and scream in the evenings. He was napping in his swing too but I've had to move the swing to the nursery and put in blackout shades and a noise machine. I keep him swaddled in the swing too and that helps. I agree it's so frustrating that he is tired but won't go to sleep!

He sleeps great at night so our pediatrician said when a baby is sleeping so well at night they often don't take great naps during the day and try to stick to a nap schedule and routine. I try to watch the clock during the day and if he has been awake for an hour it's time to get him back to sleep again. Which is sometimes hard to do since I have another child to care for. also read this blog which helped me a lot
