Hey ladies,

As the title says really, I have been thinking about birth control since I was pregnant; I cannot get pregnant again sadly until I finish my degree (after my year out with little one), if I do I basically couldn't finish because of the 5 year limit for my course.
So it's important I find a good, preferably more long lasting method. I am breastfeeding. I have tried the IUD and will never go there again.

Thinking of trying the implant from my six weeks postnatal check.

I found the progesterone only bc pills (had to go on them rather than the combined, for high bmi) really reduced my sex drive which was naff, worried the progesterone on the implant will have the same effect

Have any of you chose this method? How was it for you?
I know everyones experience is different, but interested :) Thank you!

I haven't had it postnatal, but I was on it for 3 years. I loved it and am going back on it next week. It made my "periods" very light (basically just spotting) and obviously there was no need to remember to take a pill.
