I bought one on sale today and I'm wondering if anyone else has one and how they find it? It is quite quick and to efficient? I was trying to decide between the Lansinoh and tommee tippee breast pump and decided on the Lansinoh as I had a manual tommee tippee breast pump years ago and didn't rate it at all; it was slow and hard work on my wrist. When I switched to a manual Lansinoh pump it was much easier. So I've gone on the make of the pump.

Last time round I managed to pump 7oz in 10 mins but I don't seem to be able to express much this time even though I know the milk is there. Possibly due to tandem feeding and my greedy toddler?! I am hoping an electric pump will be able to get more out.

I had one with DD1, who I exclusively pumped for, and it worked brilliantly of me. I pumped for 10 weeks and only stopped as I preferred to formula feed once I'd accepted my daughter would never feed from the breast. No issues with the pump at all (had the double electric one).

I've not needed it this time around as breast feeding worked out and, due to bottle aversion, expressing is pointless for me. I, therefore, lent it to my sister and she said she really struggled with it. Although she did struggle with feeding in general and still didn't have much luck with a hospital loan pump. So it could be more to do with her than the pump.

I read great things about it and was excited to buy it. The third time I used it, it started having sucking issues on one side. We took it apart and put it back together multiple times to make sure everything was put together properly (and it was). Just some sort of defect. I found that it would get its pump power back if I squashed down a certain area on one of the lids, so there was obviously some air leakage.

I can't deal with another one potentially breaking since I will have to pump at work when I go back, so I sent hubby to the store to buy the medela that I really didn't want to break down and buy. But it has worked soooo much better. I was able to pump an ounce out with it right after pumping with the Lansinoh (as a test) in the early days postpartum when that was probably about all of my supply.

It is currently sitting on my counter waiting to be returned to the manufacturer for the defect.

Just my experience, but it cost me a lot more money and heartache than just buying a medela the first time. I really hope it works well for you!
