So i have my suspicians that i am gluten intolerant and am going to ask my doctor for a blood test next week. My symptoms are constipation, extreme tiredness, gassiness especially after eating large amounts of gluten along with a list of other symptoms.

I am just wondering what you eat on an average day when you are gluten free?

Hey there,
I don't have any intollerances, but I don't eat wheat/dairy/caffeine/processed foods etc. If you wanna pop over to my journal, I tend to record what I eat most days.
xx

I just found out I have celiac and cannot have any gluten whatsoever. It has been a hard transition. There are some days now that I only eat one meal a day. It was hard enough before because there was not a whole lot I liked and even harder now being on such a limited diet. If you go to the celiac organization site there is a list of safe/unsafe foods. There are also recipe ideas and such. Gluten is not only in foods but also in personal care products (shampoos/lotions/deodorants, etc) and medications. HTH. Good luck. :)

I have gluten intolerance. Just a heads up, you might get false negatives on the blood test. I tested negative on all my Celiac tests. The specialist I saw finally said basically 'I don't know what's wrong with you, maybe you should just try a GF diet. If you feel better in two weeks, that's what it is'
Well I've been gf ever since, my symptoms are gone and I'm so thankful to feel normal again. I have been GF since 2007. It's kinda hard at first and you feel like you can't eat anything, but gets easier the longer you are on it. You just have to find alternate ways to make the food you want. Go to health food stores, there are a lot of GF noodles, mixes, cookies, etc. I also do a lot of research online. Usually you can search for what you want and find a gf recipe for it. This last month I made homemade corn dogs, chicken cordon bleu, and chinese sweet and sour chicken all gluten free from recipes online. And they all tasted great! There are a lot of bloggers out there that make amazing gluten free treats.
Health food stores are your friend, also try to see if there is a local celiac/gf group in your community, there are even gf facebook groups. Also a lot of the restaurant chains are getting better at having gf menus. My favorite gf places are Chili's, Outback Steakhouse, and Olive Garden. Outback even has a flourless chocolate cake that is amazing.

Well first you need a blood test then you will have to decide that if you really need some gluten free food or not ..But still there's so many foods you can buy with some specific health food stores those provides gluten free foods ..
