I used the CONI program with my son Charlie. He is three now. I didn't take up as many parts of the program as Hayley has so can't advise on those, we chose not to use the weight charts etc and we only had the apnoea monitor. Through the CONI program we also got access to a paediatric first aid course which was excellent and I would recommend to all parents and parents to be! Personally we found the CONI program was not for us and we won't be using their services again this time. The apnoea monitor whilst it is a godsend because it is portable and you can leave it attached to baby at all times so no matter where/when they fall asleep your mind is reassured, we had a lot of false alarms with ours and after a week to two weeks of using it I was a nervous wreck. We swapped Charlie onto an Angelcare monitor which you can buy in the shops and we have only ever had one, maybe two false alarms ever with that so we felt it suited us better. The only downside being it's not portable and is for use in their cot so I was nervous and did have to watch him when he was asleep in pram/moses basket. I think it is definitely worth speaking to a CONI adviser hun, have them come out and explain the program to you and what it offers and see if it appeals to you. Everyone is different, and I think Hayley has had very good experiences with CONI, where it just didn't suit us. xxxx
