Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can relate to my question in the title? Me and oh were ltttc our son for 3years, diagnosed as unexplained infertility after lots of tests, in the end we conceived through IVF. We are WTT until July for baby 2 but hoping this time it wi happen naturally, it sounds silly but my body is so different when I'm ovulating/ time of the month now so I'm taking these as good signs!

Any success to share please from ladies in a similar situation?

Thanks x

No, but we did LTTTC for 8 years, and then getting Sophie was so easy. We only had sex once and bam! My cycle is way different now, and the signs of ovulation are like neon lights. Copious EWCM, cervix changes are so easy to spot, mega ovulation pains and I now have a shorter cycle length than I have ever had (since age 12, I would only have 3-4 periods a year, now my cycle is getting shorter and shorter and just gone from 40 days to 37 days, I'm 31).

I also got pregnant when Thomas was a newborn, and I was exclusively breastfeeding, had no period yet and was on birth control. It ended in miscarriage, but gosh, such odds to beat.

Best of luck!

We did! Our first is an IVF/ICSI baby due to very severe male factor infertility. On the day of the egg collection we had approx 1400 healthy sperm to work with. We had been trying for a long time before then.

Since DS was born we have conceived naturally twice. The first time DS was 7 months old, unfortunately it ended in miscarriage fairly early on. Then in September we were shocked to find out that we had managed it again and I'm due in 13 weeks.

Our fertility specialists can't explain it, especially as we had only dtd once or twice each time. DH had a SA done recently, mainly out of curiosity and it howled that while his levels etc aren't up to "normal" levels, they are considerably better. There seems to be no logical explanation as his lifestyle hasn't changed, if anything he's put on weight.

So miracles can and do happen. Good luck!

Sorry for your losses and thanks for sharing your success! It gives me great hope that we will be as lucky x

I actually know a few people who only needed IVF for their first and conceived naturally after that. We were LTTTC for 4 years with #1, only TTC 7mo with #2 and then #3 was a surprise. So weird since I'm 9 years older than when we started trying, was BF, and we were doing natural family planning (which I think BF interfered with). So I've definitely gotten more fertile as I've gotten older (35+)

It's possible. My sister had her first through ivf her son is now 3 and she has a 4month old daughter she conceived naturally :)

Wow I'm loving all the success stories so keep them coming! xx

It would be good if having a baby via IVF etc kick started your regular hormones into making natural babies. I have no stories for you but wish you all the best xxx

Not that IVF isn't natural! You know what I mean :dohh: xx

Haha! Thank you x

This happened to a good friend of mine. Had her first through ivf and then conceived her second naturally within a couple of months of ttc!
