Anyone know what I can expect?

Seeing an FS next week and not sure what to expect...so they do bloodwork first and then do a procedure like an HSG later after the bloodwork comes back? What do they even test for? Should I not eat for 12 hours? I am so nervous and I hate waiting...I am also nervous about an HSG. Are they painful? Do you get sedated or pain meds? I almost pass out for my yearly with my mid wife...this is not going to be good...

I think it depends where you located - are you in the US?

Where I live (Bulgaria) they gave me an ultrasound and did blood tests on cd3 and cd21 but didn't suggest an HCG or even SA, saying that the problem was unlikely to be there. (I'm British by the way).
