My lovely mild natured 7 month old appears to have gone and been replaced by a real handful. This has honestly been the worst week I've had with her (unfortunately coinciding with my 2nd week back at work - great!)

For the last five nights she has screamed for at least four hours over the night and has been inconsolable. We've tried everything! I think she is teething but didn't think that it got this bad. To make things worse my husband and I are bearly speaking as it's been so stressful.

After I went to work yesterday he took a days annual leave so that he could have some 'me time' and spent the day sleeping, playing playstation, etc. He only phoned me at lunchtime to tell me this. I was cross as I think they should be used as family days but didn't say anything to him. I did ask if he'd do a few jobs around the house as our landlord is doing an inspection on our house today. I came home to find that none of then had been done. He said that he was too tired and just needed to 'chill' - alright for some! This means I'll have to do it today as it's my day off with grisly baby in tow.

To top it off I had planned a big (and my first since babies arrival) girls night out for tonight which I've had to pull out of because the baby has been so awful at night. Am so gutted. Was really looking forward to it.

Sorry this has turned into a real moan when really I'm just concerned about my little one mainly. Does this sound like teething. She seems okay otherwise, no temperature, etc. How long will it last for?

Sooooooooo exhausted!

i think its a 7 month thing hun. rhys has turned into a right whinger since about 1-2 weeks. still has smiles and happy time but is mostly making whining noises and i cant keep him happy. im putting it down to teething also - and hopefully it will pass.

as for your OH taking a day just to chill i wouldnt be happy either!! why dont you do the same? xxx

According to my husband this morning, chilling out at home is exactly what I have been doing for eight months whilst on maternity leave!

Would love to have a day without baby and just chill but we don't have much family near and so it's pretty impossible.

Sorry you're having a rough time too Rhiannon. Fingers crossed it passes soon x
