I know it will be very hard to find someone like me but i thought i'd try. I feel like an alien. I always hear of those LTTTC but it seems they at least know they can get pregnant. They at least have had a miscarriage or chemical of some sort. But i'm so confused as to what my problem is. I have been trying for over 13 years with two husbands. I have been overweight for the past 9 years but before then i couldn't get pregnant then either but my doctors all seem to think it's weight related. It wasn't until 2009 that i found out i had PCOS and i have been TTC with help from the RE since then. Before then and before my 2nd DH i never got tested for insurance reasons and never had ex hubby checked either. But my DH now has been diagnosed with severe MFI caused by Varicocele and Hydrocele. We have done 8 IUI's (3 with Clomid and 5 with stims Follistim, Menopur, Bravelle, Gonal F, and other stuff) we.ve tried it all. We had a HSG in 2009 but my tubes were wide open and in great shape. FSH is always under 10 usually around 4.3-6.7 and all other B/W are normal even Dhea is in normal range for PCOS patient. My only problem was hormonal and having maybe 3 periods a year. But now i am regular due to DCI, and Metformin. Now why am i still not preggo. No sign of pregnancy ever in my life. I'm sorry to vent but just wondering if there are or was any out there who are or was like me and wondering if you could share what you have done besides IVF to get pregnant or if you have yet to get pregnant tell me wht you're doing now or something you have found to help also tell me what problems you're dealing with. I just don't want to feel alone in this.

Hello :)

You're not the only alien...i'm one too :haha:

I havent really got any helpful advice, but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone :hugs:

I've been ttc for 12 years...never even so much as a late period. I didnt seek help for a long time, but when i turned 30 i decided to try and find out what was wrong with me. I had already kind of accepted that it wasnt going to happen for me, but was still secretly hoping against hope that the doctors would have a miracle cure.

I've always had regular 28 day period, i had a lap and dye recently which showed one blocked tube and a tilted womb, so the fertility doctor said the only hope for me was IVF, there is a waiting list of 2 years for this so by that time i'll be nearly 35 (i'm 32 now) so i'm not holding my breath for success, but i'll give it a go....a glimmer of hope to hold onto. In the meantime I decided a few months ago not to have sex during my fertile (ha fertile!) window, a miracle isnt going to happen after all these years. I was distraught each and every month when i got that dirty stain on my knickers confirming that i'm as barren as i've always been, so since i dont give myself the opportunity to have any hope, i honestly feel like a weight has been lifted. Sorry if i sound like a sour grape, but i've simply given up at the moment, but i just wanted to let you know that there is LTTTC folk like us out there and i've found this site to be very friendly and helpful. I hope you get your baba soon i really do, I wouldnt wish this hell on anyone, its soul destroying.

So sorry for your long struggle. I have been TTC for 2-1/2 years and I can only imagine how you feel. I've heard plenty of success stories of women with PCOS and MFI becoming pregnant so it can definitely happen for you.

I know IVF is good at eliminating the MFI aspect, but I understand it is expensive and intrusive and not always an option.

We were recommended not to do any IUIs and skip right to the IVF because of my DH low count but we requested to try 3 cycles of IUI anyway because we thought we might be one of the lucky ones.

Don't give up. It sounds like you're doing everything right. I hope you get your BFP soon because you definitely deserve it.

I found this info online about PCOS but I'm sure you've heard this all before.

Can I conceive with PCOS?
The good news is that the chance of getting pregnant with polycystic ovarian syndrome using fertility treatments is very good. The great majority of women with polycystic ovarian syndrome will be able to have a baby with fertility treatment.

For young women under age 35 with polycystic ovaries, the real question is more about which treatment will be effective - and not so much whether any treatment can ever work.

Women with polycystic ovary syndrome usually need induction of ovulation to get pregnant.

Good luck & baby dust to you!
