Anyone on AOL??

I just phoned them to get my mac code as was gonna change providers and guess what?
The woman i spoke to said "oh, we can put your price plan to £9.99 from £17.99 and nothing will cahnge"

The don't advertise that do they??
cheeky gets hasve been taking £17.99 when the price for silver has dropped

So anyone wit AOL i suggest you call them to cancel and you will get price plan reduced :wink:

Also if anyone wants to join let me know as if i reccomend anyone i get my account credited

AOL ARE BUGGERS ANYWAYS I THINK,im sure its that company that once you change providers you end up having to get your pc reformated as it does stuff to it,cant remember nowim with tiscali and although we pay 17 a month its not too bad as we get unlimite downloads and have never had a problem with connections or anything,just the c/s that is crap

I think i'll just stick with them, we have always used them, was first thing we clicked when got PC

I'm a sod i just stick with what i know,

I don't wanna have to reformat it all either

our was £17.99 a month but we are just trying to save what we can with me not workin

aol are good but they hate giving out mac codes and rarly will.

its my job to genaerate mac codes to the service providers i hear from aol once a day if that lol. tiscali are ok but none speck englishe i have made so many complaints saying i cant deal with them any more. and sop pretending your name is john

if you want to chance who your broadband is with you ask you current supplier to give you a mac code then you go to your new supplier and give them your mac code then it will change over with out any down time where as before you would have had to cease your broadband takes 5 days then place new order wait about another 5 days

A MAC (Migration Authority Code) only works where both the outgoing and the new service providers are signed up to the industry code of practice on migrations. While AOL has signed up, not all providers have. Also, MAC codes will only work with certain types of ADSL broadband services. Because of these potential issues, AOL will only provide a MAC code where it has been specifically asked for prior to requesting the cancellation of the broadband service.

I am with AOL but on the £25 package and i get them to take all my calls too.

I got my free wireless out of them too as i was on a wire and have been for the past 10+ years.
