Im currently looking for a new car as i dont think my 2 door Ka is gonna cut it with another body on board.

Just wondered if any of you have a focus, if so, what are they like for boot space and general inside space? Suitable for a pram and car seat along with my 8year old/9 by then?

We used to have a punto!! Which was too small & also a Kia Picanto which was just my little run around.

However we traded them both in for a new shape focus (it's a 57 plate so it's not brand new but it is the new shape iykwim???)

It's perfect!! The boot is plenty big enough for a buggy (We've ordered the Graco mosaic One Deluxe and it goes in no problem).. As for back seat space there's loads! And also what I love about it is that I'm not used to driving big family cars only ever really drove small hatchbacks and the focus is fully driveable without being oversized if that makes sense!

snap lol im lookin to buy a 4door focus my friend has 1 and her boot is big enough to get it all in theres cup holders and space in front etc older style and newer 1s its guna be my perfect car i think :happydance: xxxx

We currently have a renault megane and a ford focus. Both have ample room inside and boot space for buggy baby and another child. Both are very good cars. We love both cars but we have a large german shepherd dog and unfortunately neither car is big enough for dog, baby and all the equiptment that goes with baby. Looks like we're gonna need an estate or people carrier so the dog can go in the boot. Very loathed to sell them though but needs must!

I had a fiat 500 which was only a three door so got a Nissan qashqai at the weekend. Huge boot space but we tried to get the carry cot and the base in and it was so tight! The push chair and base is no problem. Make sure you try the carry cot part too if you gave one.

We are in the same position. We have a focus and love it but are worried that when baby comes along there wont be room for the dog in the boot plus baby stuff. We made a descision to wait and see. if we need to change it then so be it but i love my car. :(

Im thinking of getting the old style not the new, and the hatchback version, dont know if there is another. Seem to be getting different reviews online, some people say plenty of space others say its cramped. They have clearly never owned a Ford Ka, lol. At the minute my driver door is broken aswell, which means climbing over the passenger seat to get in. I dont see this continuing much further into pregnancy!

we have a focus and my best mate has a focus. she has an 8-month old and a 3 year old. she has a baby car seat and a booster seat on the back seat with room for her 6 foot 4 husband to have enough leg room in the passenger side at the front and has had a double buggy and a normal pushchair for the little one if she didn't have both with her in the boot. ok, so we had to do jigging around if we went for a food shop but it all fit in fine. i think her's is a 2001 model. ours is in any case and it's exactly the same shape and size.

hope that helps :)

They're quite big cars for a family of 4, we used to have one a few years back.

Ford are launching another new Focus soon too, so you might pick up a bargain in the old shape range.

we had a focus it was a really good car but the seat belts didnt fit alex's silver cross car seat.

:flower:

I love the ford focus, were planning on getting th current model in a few months, hopefully the new modle will hve come out and we can get a bargain! the boot space is massive compared with most cars that size in my opinion! I just can't wait, we have a old peugoet 206 at mo and it's fallig apart an won't feel safe with baby in it so can't wait to get the focus!x

I have the ford focus coupe cabriolet, i bought it new in June and I love it. The boot is huge (the roof fits in) and their is loads of room in the back. Its a great runner and the colour range is great. Obviously a bit different from the normal focus but just wanted to let you know they are really good reliable cars x

I have had my focus for nearly 6 years now, i find they are ok for boot space and for space inside, so far i have managed to get in my mums wheelchair or battery powered scooter (so not the smallest thing in the world), Sophie's buggy, a weeks food shopping, Sophie and her car seat and mum with her crutches all at the same time, yes its a squeeze but we manage. Mine is rather old tho now about 10 years old, i believe the newer ones are even better.

I have a new shape focus and have to say i love it. The reason i bought it? Baby! As soon as we started TTC i traded in my pride and joy for the focus and have not looked back. So much space in the boot and in the back. Love it!!
