anyone receive housing benefits???

hey, does anyone receive housing benefit? im on jobseekers atm, they seem unlikely i will get a full time job as im pregnant but im still applying all the same.
but i was wondering how long does the housing benefit take to come through?????

It REALLY depends on where you live and if you're on any specific scheme...

It's probably better to ask around in your local area to find out.

If you call the council, once in a while there will be somebody helpful who might be willing to give you an unofficial estimate...

It does depend on area, council & if they are busy etc.. Where i am on average it takes around 4-6 wks before the rents 1st payment is made. Then its paid fortnightly

It can be paid 4 weekly too.

Yeah deffo depends. I live in london and enquired about two areas, barking and dagenham take up to 8 weeks to process it and havering only take 7 - 14!
