I've signed up for the 'pregnancy outcome prediction study'...or POPS test.
Its just testing genetic associations of pregnancy complications.
I don't like blood tests at all and this test involves having 2 extra tests...BUT I get to see bean twice more at 28 weeks and 36 weeks (after my usual 12 week and 20 week scan)! All scan pictures are free and they are obliged morally to alert me if there is anything wrong with my blood tests or ultrasounds. Quite pleased I was approached about it as I didn't know there was anything like this going on.
Selfishly I don't really care much about the research side of things...I just didn't want all scans and everything to stop after the 20 week ultrasound! seems a long time to wait!
