anyone starting clomid this weekend?

I am new to this site and thought I would give this is a try. the other forums I have used In the past can be very harsh and I heard this is a wonderful place to talk with others that are going thru the same kind of things. this is my first time on clomid and I am taking it days 5-9 this sat thru weds. I was looking for someone who might be starting it around the same time so that we could be clomid cycle buddies. my hubby and I have been trying for 10 months and I just switched dr's and he put me on clomid 50 mg to try this month to see if that will help me ovulate. we have done the SA testing as well as progesterone testing and are hoping the clomid will help us this month. any input on clomid side effects or best times to bd would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I'm new to this site too, my DH and I have been trying for 10 months also. I believe this is the month my Dr. is going to be putting me on clomid. I don't really have anyone to talk with about everything going on. So I usually end up watching youtube vlogs and reading other peoples posts. I'll prob end up being a few weeks behind you but I would love to hear what you think of it.

Sunhine0 I'm the same way!! I can read into this all the time but never have anyone to talk to about it. I took my first dose at 6 last night and it made me pretty tired so I went to bed by about 9 but woke up super early at 5. I'm hoping that I don't start getting any crazy side effects like the hot flashes bc I heard some can last even after the time you stop taking it. Sometimes for weeks :/. I'm not looking forward to that stuff lol. I will keep you up to date on what's going on tho

Are you keeping track of your BBT while on clomid?

I didn't have a bbt thermometor at home but I bought one today lol I plan on starting it tomorrow. Better late then never I guess

You didn't pick out the thermometer that beeps every second till it reaches temperature, did you? I did - and I regret that one (I know I could buy a new one) it wakes up my husband every morning.

Taking bbt is definitely less expensive then opks (i have never used them). and as soon as I see the temp rise I know I ovulated. I'll be interested to see if clomid will change my charts much.

Have you had any side effects yet, or has it been pretty normal?

It's been pretty normal. Only a little fatigue here and there but that started today. I used to chart bbt but my old ob said to not temp or opk. Needless to say I have switched dr's. the new one said ok something's def wrong so let's do all the tests then start clomid. So here goes lol. I have opk's too from online that are good till 2015 so I'm gonna use those and bbt to help me identify o.

Hi Ladies, I am reasonably new to this site as well (my first post anyway). I am mid way through my second cycle with clomid 50mg. So far so go with only mild pms as a side effect although that could just be the stress of trying. My DH and I have been trying for about a year and a half, we have had all the tests and it came back I have pcos but I do ovulate on my own so it's considered "unexplained infertility" so the fertility doctor decided to try clomid to regulate my 35-40 day cycles. Fingers crossed you are the lucky ones it happens on the first month! *baby dust to you all*

Same with us he's all good I ovulate just not every cycle so hopefully the clomid will help. I still feel good on the clomid tho. No bad side effects. Only strange this is today I'm on cd 8 day 4 of clomid and my cm (this may be tmi but I feel the need to share lol) is very thick like lotion. I usually don't have that this early in my cycle but who knows maybe the clomid changed my cm already. Hoping for good news this month for all of us!!!
