Hey everyone, I'm 24 and have been TTC #1 for over 4 years now. I did get pregnant in 2007 but sadly miscarried. Have had no luck in conceiving since. We have now moved on to trying IUI. Anyone else been trying this long? Would love to make some LTTTC buddies. :dust:

Hello :)

I came off the pill 10 long years ago when i was 20....i'm now 31 and never been pregnant  For a long time i had my head in the sand, only went to the doctors last year. I think when i was younger i just thought it would happen when it happened, but turning 30 and still not even a hint of a pregnancy, i decided that if i didnt get help it would never happen. I'm scheduled for a lap and dye early January. I have regular 28 day periods, i ovulate normally, had 21day tests done for 6 months running and they were all over 60 so the doc said i am ovulating fine. I'm terrified of getting the lap done...after all these years will i finally find out the reason why? Its hard to imagine me ever being a mum now after all these years, hopefully the lap will give me some answers, bad or otherwise its time to face it. So if you'll have me i'd like to be your buddy so we can ride out this storm together :hugs:

When will you have your IUI? Do the doctors know what your problems are? Are you in the UK?

Sam x

Well hello there TTC Buddy! I put off going to the doctor as well. I think I was more afraid of finding out some really awful news like I would never be able to have my own children. DH and I finally went in for testing and found out he has male factor infertility. I had a couple issues as well such as high prolactin levels and low progesterone. Luckily my part is easily fixed with medicine. I'm hoping we can move on with our second IUI in January 2012. By the way, I live in California!

I hope your lap goes well and you finally get some answers! Is your partner being tested as well? :hugs:

Hi there
We have almost tried for 5 years. I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2007 and have had 2 socalled chemical pregnancies since. The last one was in August 2010. My husband just had a sperm test and his sperm is normal. I have endometriosis and hormonal issues plus a lot of spotting. I am in NaProTEchnology treatment.
I wish you all the best
Amber

Hi Amber, what exactly is Naprotechnology? Best of luck to you as well!

Good morning/evening to you both :)

Yes my hubby has been tested, super healthy sperm, so the problem must be with me :(

I've put off this lap twice before as i really dont know if i can cope with hearing something like i've havent even got ovaries or tubes lol sounds silly but you never know and it would explain a lot!!!

I've heard of Napro from on this site, i really believe that their programme is the way forward, pity the NHS dont offer this service instead of going straight to IVF if they cant find a reason.

I've been put on a waiting list for IVF & IUI (2 years wait, been waiting a year already so early 2013 i suspect) but i must admit i havent even looked into these, partly because i'm terrified and partly because i really don't know if i want to go down this route, over 10 years is a long time to wait for something that comes natural to so many woman and to have these treatments and for it not to work would just be more devastating...i dont know, i'm just messed up at the moment. If i get some answers after my lap then i can decide for sure the best step for me. Anyways sorry for rattling on, babydust to us all x

Hey ladies,

Im in a similar situation been trying now for 5yrs and never been pregnant had lap and dye and my left tube was blocked I then got it unblocked. After this set back then found out I wasnt ovulating myself I was prescribed Clomid for 6months now completed this course and still no luck. I recently went to docs and was told there is nothing else they can do for me as im only 29 and DH is 32 and there is no evidence of why this hasnt happened so now just in limbo.

Hi

Sorry to hear of your problems :hugs:
Have you been put forward for IVF? Surely they should investiage further why you arent ovulating? Do you have regular periods? What is your average day 21 results?

Hi there Ready

Here is a little link with a short film about NaProTechnology. It might explain why us who are into NaPro just keep talking about how amazing it is.

Dancing Diva, have you looked into Femara? It helps some people where Clomid did not work. It is really a better alternative in several ways.

Best wishes to all
Amber
