When I had my youngest son I suffered a 4th degree tear which didn't heal properly. As a result I require further surgery and my consultant told me to have any more babies before the surgery. Well I'm pregnant again and even though its a long way off the birth is weighing heavily on my mind. Can anyone give me good experiences of having another child after suffering a 4th degree tear? x

I didn't personally, but my cousin did. It was so bad, she had to have reconstructive surgery. I believe she had that done before her second baby. She had 2 after the first, though, and as far as I know, no other issues.

Thanks for your reply. Thats what I need to have done re constructive surgery my son well and truly did a number on me when he came shooting out. I was told once you have the surgery its advised not to have anymore vaginal births hence why I'm another before it is done. Just not sure how the birth will go this time round.x
