Anyone taken Buspirone (Buspar/Vanspar) during pregnancy? effects?

My doctor just gave me a prescription for Buspirone (5mg tablets, one and a half per day) in addition to my Bupoprion (Wellbutrin 300mg, once a day).

I take the Wellbutrin for depression, and now planning to start the Buspirone tomorrow for anxiety.

Anyone have any information about the risks, possible side effects, etc. about this medicine or combination of meds? Any info about effects during third tri would be greatly appreciated.

I would call your OB before taking this. Also, if/when you go to pick it up ask to speak to the pharmacist and have him/her explain the side effects etc with you.

I see my OB next week so I'm going to wait until then to take it. Hopefully she can give me the risks and the benefits so I can weigh whether it's worth taking them.

I was taking this! It's a Class B I believe. I took it my whole pregnancy and just recently stopped it because I don't think it's recommended for birth or breastfeeding. So I got weaned off it last week. I was taking 30mg per day (15 mg tablet in morning and at night). Hope it helps you

I just want to ask you how are you doing with Buspar. I am pregnant , 5 weeks and i have Clinical Depression and axiety. I have to stop Effexor and I am only taking buspar. It help me, but it is not totally good. The axiety has decreased, but i am still depressed. How are you doing with it? English is not my fisrt language, so please i apologize ig i write something incorrect.
