Hey all,

After 3 unexplained (all tests okay) miscarriages I've been prescribed Cyclogest pessaries.

I've had to 'use' them twice a day from day 17 until day 24 of my cycle... (I have short cycles)... if I get a BFP then I'm to continue with the Cyclogest but if I get a BFN then I'm to stop using them until day 17 of my next cycle.

NOW... it's day 24 tomorrow but I've not got a BFP.... AF hasn't come to visit yet (she's not welcome either!!! :nope:). Although if I'm honest I'm getting a few 'twinges'.

So I'm a bit stuck on what do to... shall I carry on with the Cyclogest pessaries do you think until AF arrives or (fingers crossed please bring me a sticky baby.. ppllzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :baby:) I get a BFP.... and also when should I test again... believe me I'm crazy enough to test 42 times a day!!! I know, slightly over the top.

Any advice or positive vibes - please send them my way.

Hugs and floating kisses to you all.

xxxxx

Hi....
I just wanted to update my post in case anyone ever searches for 'cyclogest' or 'progesterone'.

But basically I've spoken to my Doctor and she has explained that if AF has not arrived and I've not received a BNP within a few days of the time that AF should have arrived - then I'm to STOP using the progesterone pessaries as they can delay AF from arriving!

Sorry if you are already aware of this, however, I was not (didnt have a clue actually), so was all confused.

Looks like I've gotta wait until next month now and start alllllll over again. :nope:

Love floating Kiss xxxx:dust:

Test again in 2-3 days, then if it's still BFN, call your doctor. She'll likely tell you to stop it. But you CAN demand a blood test before you stop the pills because blood tests are far more sensitive than urine tests.

I was taking Provera for 5 days before I found out I was pregnant. I was TERRIFIED I'd lose the baby bc of the artificial bump in progesterone but I've been off it for a week, and my BBT chart still has my temp as high (like after ovulation, only for much longer). If the temp drops I will cry.

Anyway, if you're not knocked up this cycle, there's always next month. Keep on trying and I remember the horrible TWW when I was TTCing. Stay strong, and best of luck to you!
