Anyone TTCAL - immediately following mc?

I'm currently experiencing a mc and wondering if I have to wait to ttc.
With my first mc I was advised by MD to wait 3 cycles. We waited two cycles and then started ttc - conceived my son.

Now, I am having a mc and I'm one week after AF was due (so 5wks pregnant). Its a lot sooner than the last mc, and I dont really feel like waiting to ttc.

Anyone ttc straight away without waiting a full cycle?

We lost our little nugget at 6w1d on Saturday. We started to DTD tonight. We don't want to wait and feel as though there is nothing wrong with it. This will be our first and we were devastated, but we are ready to go again! I don't know if that helps you at all because I am not a professional, but much of what I have read is that you don't really have to wait (although others say to wait, but there is no real proof as to why. Plus being that you and I lost so early on there wasn't as much built up yet. I am so sorry for your loss though!

I'm not a professional either, but I just had a m/c last week at 6w+5d. I asked my doctor yesterday if I need to wait, and she recommended waiting until I get a normal period, but since my m/c was natural and I didn't have a D&C, that she "wouldn't scold" me if I got PG before a period. They just worry about the thickness of the uterine lining and whether or not it can support the next pregnancy. So we're going to try now and see how it goes.

It just makes it harder to date the pregnancy if you don't have a specific LMP date. In my case, I've already started charting again and my temps are back to normal pre-ovulation temps, so hopefully I'll be able to pinpoint my O day, and if I get PG right away, I'll be able to count from that.

Sarah I am sorry to hear that you lost your little bean also...we both lost ours right around the same time of pregnancy...I talked to the nurse at my midwife's office today and my levels went from 368 to 2 in 48 hours...she said i shouldn't have to worry about anything because it looks like my body did it all naturally...i honestly don't want to wait...i am way to anxious to have a baby and feel as though it'll happen when it happens...hopefully this time it will be the whole 9 months though!

Hi ladies. I lost my baby boy at 14 weeks , 5 days 6. I also am not planning to wait. As soon as the bleeding stops we want to start trying. I think it might take a while to ovulate given how far along I was, hope not though. We so want a baby.

I'm so sorry for all of your losses, it's such a difficult thing to go through. I hope we all get our bfp soon!!!

Yes - we are trying this month straight after our m/c on Oct 1. I'm entering the 2ww now; I believe I O'd yesterday. Keeping my fingers crossed....

Hi ladies, in our case we are waiting for AF and then we will try again ASAP. I've read it's possible that before that AF you won't ovulate so no point in TTC. But some will of course! AF will at least give me a date if we do get a BFP next cycle. MC's suck. Wish we didn't have to experience it and all just had beautiful bumps right now instead

Good luck to everyone. We lost our baby at 10 and half weeks. Heartbreaking. Still bleeding a little bit now, I asked consultant when we could try again and she said wait one period and then 'go for it'. But she only told us to wait because they did a scan and saw there was a small blob still left which would either come out now or with the next period. So if I see that blob (sorry tmi!), I'm not even going to wait until next period. Latest research says there's no reason to wait and you're less likely to have another mc if you conceive within six months. However a lot of women won't ovulate between the mc and the first period which is rather annoying!

I'm still bleeding, almost 3 weeks later. I was really hoping it would have stopped by now and we could be trying again. It's really light so maybe it will soon. Had my blood checked last week and it was 300, I'm going back on Wednesday to see if it's dropped.

AFM - I found out on Friday that I am pregnant again. I am cautious to get excited, but hoping that my body is strong enough to carry this pregnancy. Hoping for a sticky one this time.

Hi everyone :wave:
After my chemical in august we started straight away as the loss was sooo early I assumed my body would be fine. I got a bfp 5 weeks later but sadly it has not worked out again.
we have decided to try again in january,I think my body could do with the rest. Plus this pregnancy was so hard to date as I had no AF.
Atleast when we get our bfp next year we should know where we are and hospital said to ring them asap when im pregnant so they can book me in for a 8 week scan.
feeling more positive about next time,my first loss in 2009 was at 12weeks,my daughter took 7months to concieve and she was a perfect trouble free pregnancy
Plus I had treatment in july for precancerous cells on my cervix,pregnant month after and then pregnant again. So im thinking a lil TLC for my body,keep taking folic acid,get my periods back and hope for a sticky bean next time.

Good luck to you all,iv read sooooo many posts about people catching straight after a loss and having their babies so it can happen! Sadly just not for us all and thats the scary risk we have to take.
