I started taking it at 37 weeks and 1 day (so its been almost 2 weeks now) I take it orally in the morning, in the after noon and vaginally at bed time. The first night I used it after only an hour or so I started getting a pinch in my pelvis that would not let up for hours! I even had to get up and take a bath but it wasn't really helping the pain much so I got out and ate and cleaned up a bit and was finally able to go back to sleep around 5 am or so. Before getting in the bath though I noticed TONS of mucus come out when I wiped and even more throughout that day. 2 days before that I had a bunch of clear watery mucus come out, it was so much I thought my water might have broke but when I went to have it checked out was told it was just mucus.
After all that I was pretty sure my mucus plug was gone as I hadn't been getting any mucus at all (maybe just a slight amount) since then until the other day (like thursday I think) it hasn't been much though.
I had progressed from 1 cm to two at my 38 week appointment but still was only at 50% effaced. Really hoping for more progress in both (or atleast effacement) by my appointment on monday. I have added an additional oral dose at night along with the vaginal one. So am up to 4000 MG now instead of 3000. Hoping it helps a bit!
