I want one for our next bean. NCT sell the bednest for £300 and John Lewis teh Troll bedside crib for £160. Wondering if anyone has any reviews or knows where we can go and look at them?

Thanks.x

I bought a really nice one from Amazon. Too bad my baby girl refuses to sleep anywhere but her swing or with me. They are great to keep by your bed, especially at night. I'm hoping Harper will eventually use hers.

Thanks hun. What did you buy? I didnt think of Amazon.

Our LO didnt sleep in her crib, just her swing or bouncer. We were almost dead by 7 weeks when we gave in and had her in bed with us.

Hence why i want to try a co sleeper this time!

We use a moses basket on a stand right next to the bed, which might be an idea as it's much less expensive? I can reach right over and reassure LO without getting out of bed and altho it's a little lower than the bed, he seems comforted and sleeps well in it (still feeding every three hours!)

best wishes

I would go for a cot with a side that folds right under as it's much better value and will last longer. I have a Cossato one it's lovely https://kiddicarereviews.kiddicare.com/review/92947 Other people have posted about ikea cots. Try a post in natural parenting x oh but btw my baby still prefers to be right in the bed! LOL I wish I'd just brought a bigger bed for us!

We have a cosatto bedside cot, can't remember what it's actually called. It is basically a normal cot but one side removes completely so that it can go right up alongside your bed and the mattress height has loads of different options so you can get it to match your bed.

We got the cot itself from eBay second hand then bought a new mattress. It is great and I am so glad we got it as there just isn't room for all of us in our bed and my baby refused to sleep in her Moses basket. I basically squidge up a bit so that the top half of my body is in her cot and feed her lying down so I don't have to move her once she has fed

I've got a babybay maxi - I love it. LO is right next to me but has her own space too!!! I got it off the internet, it was quite expensive (I think about £250) and you have to buy sheets and mattress to specifically fit it because it's not a standard size. But, she mostly sleeps through the night and I think it's because we're so close to each other. And on the rare occasions when she wakes up I'm close by to give reassurance or a quick feed. It also has a side you can fix on if you want to have it as a stand-alone cot. It lasts up to about 9 months I think, which is probably the main downside - as we will need to get another cot when she goes into her own room. But, I think it can turn into a seat after you've finished using it as a cot.

I've got an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper and got it from Ebay, but you can buy them from the NCT as well. I haven't used it yet as baby hasn't arrived and LO never slept anywhere but his own cot but several friends recommended it which is why I bought it xx

My LO sleeps in this next to our bed. She loves it and so do I. There is a light on it that I can turn on to check on her in the night without putting on a bright light.

I have an Arms Reach Cosleeper and love it. We can stay in visual contact all night, I can easy put a hand out to touch her but I can still roll around and get confortable and have my blankets up to my chin. I loved the feeling on her sleeping on the bed next to me, but felt really trapped positionally and it started to make my back and hips hurt.

Thanks ladies. You have given me more to look at.

I just found the Bed nest from NCT a bit pricey for what it is.

I also have an Arms Reach cosleeper. I really love it. Sure wish my little one did.

We have the Troll one, and love it - it's been great, and it's really good quality. Also, we found it a bit cheaper than the John Lewis price with a bit of googling - think we got it from a firm called WH Watts in the end! x

We have the Troll one and it's great. He has his own space but it's right next to us and I can even lean closer and BF him during the night.
We got it from ebay for 70 quid!

We also have the cossatto (I think it's called close to me). I'd recommend a full size cot over a 'nest' type, just because then you don't need to buy a cot as well. The nests can be outgrown very quickly if you have a big baby, or a wriggly one!

We had ours set up as a cosleeper for the first 6 months, then pushed back from our bed with the side up until 9 months, and then he went in his own room. He hasn't really noticed the transitions, as it's always been the same cot. I wouldn't have any other sort of cot now-the cosleeper feature is fab-being able to share a sleep space but also have your own space is perfect :)

Hello ladies,

I'm currently using the snuzpod, I was put off initially by the price but now I have it I wouldn't change it! it's worth the money because it transforms into the bassinet as well, great perk! I went for it because it was voted the best one by Mother & Baby. I did consider the bednest but I want to have another baby in the future so thought Snuz was the best option.

I love it

Hope this helps :)

We just got an IKEA cot and took the side off. Unless you don't plan on co-sleeping past about 4 months or you really don't have the room, I wouldn't waste your money on one of the co-sleeper cots. They're expensive for what they are and they're pretty small. All my friends who got one outgrew them by the time their babies were 3 months old. We bedshare now rather than use a cot, but our IKEA one would still fit at nearly 2 years if we still wanted to use it now. It's this one:

https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10248519/

It's also made to be used with only 3 sides as it converts to a day bed, so it's easy to take a side off. It also makes for a cute play sofa for when baby is bigger.

We had a babybay for ds1 which was fab but expensive, we sold it before we got pregnant with ds2 and now we're using an nct bednest for our 10 week old which we HIRED from the nct shop for 7 months for a fraction of the cost. Would highly recommend either of them, especially for the height adjustment feature if you have a really low bed or a really high bed.

I bought mine off eBay, can't remember what brand it js but it was £90 including delivery and mattress. It can either be a cot or you can take a side down, extend the bottom and mattress and turn it into a co sleeper. My daughter was not happy with it at first lol but after a week she settled fine ^_^
