anyone with pcos have success with femera?

My doctor has tried clomid didn't work and the specialist is telling me he thinks femera and injectables are going to work with me...he said he doesn't think metformin will work. Has anyone else had success with femera?

Here's a bump!

I was on Clomid 4 cycles with 2 being anovulatory. For whatever reason I stopped responding even after losing lots of weight which I hear is very common (and heartbreaking).

My new RE says women with PCOS respond slightly better to Femara over Clomid and it's definitely worth a shot. I've been TTC for awhile and research a lot and I've seen so many stories where women go on to be Femara successes after Clomid failed.

I'm also on Metformin and that alone hasn't helped me conceive either, but it's a good pill to be on if you're insulin resistant.

yeah they checked i dont have any sugar problems...so thats always good. one less thing to worry about...it seems everytime we do more testing we find something else wrong lets hope femera does the trick!

I don't have personal experience but I know someone on here who conceived both her children with femara Good luck, hope it works for you!

I responded horribly to clomid! I took 6 cycles of it, 1-50mg, 2-100mg, 3-150mg, I only Od twice on 150 and it was a weak O even then.

I took 5 mgs of femara, O'd beautifully on CD16. I even O'd the following cycle naturally with no meds on CD17!

I am currently starting my 2nd cycle of femara today and am hoping for the same results.

Hi girls,

I haven't posted in a while. I have been on clomid and I did not respond to it.
Am due to start Femara 5mg tomorrow (Day 2).
I am a case of PCO (15-20 follicles each ovary) and do not ovulate on my own. I am currently on my second monitored cycle, 1st was abandoned as I did not respond to clomid.

Its wonderful hearing the success stories on Femara. Please keep posting. I am trying to be optimistic that I ovulate this time
