Anyone's FOB in/from a different country?

Just wondering, as mine is Spanish and lives in Madrid. He has done what he can to prevent me contacting him and I don't know his address (though I DO know where abouts).

Was just wondering if anyone has had any trouble/experience with FOB's abroad? I think my only option now is to hire a private detective to get hold of his address.

Sorry I cant really help you but I remember reading on a leaflet from the CSA that they can't get money from FOBs who live in another country.

So if you want/need child maintenance you would need to set up a private agreement. xx

Mine's from UK. But lives here. He doesn't want any contact with the baby he has said several times.
He has said several times he will just leave the country and disappear, so I think this one also thinks he can run away from his child support duties. I say GOOD LUCK (as it will be needed)!


Doesnt the government try to track OH's down as the government doesnt want to pay the child support that he should pay?
It's like that here anyway (Sweden) I have heard of cases where they track people down across the world and being in EU makes it hellalot easier I have heard!

So through the magistrates then.... Though I would much prefer to get his address and write to his parents, he lives at home, just like 'surprisebaby' did. I think that would make me happier, hitting a sore point, than getting any money out of him.

Technically mine is too. Hes from New Zealand Originally, but has an Australian passport, I think he calls himself Australian. Hes living here at the moment, but if he goes back to Australia, I would have no clue where he was either! I would have to resort to Private Detective too in that case - if I had an urgent need to get hold of him
