Hi, my LO has taken to evening screaming sessions with all the obvious signs that it is colic. She also seems to pass wind an incredible amount and gulps her bottle leaving her tummy making awful noises. She has now passed 24 hrs without a poo so I am watching that closely. I just wondered if she sounds like she needs to change to Aptamil comfort, she is using Aptamil first milk at the moment. I will cal HV tomorrow but would love to know what others think. She came last week and said she believed it's colic.

Also if you have changed to comfort why did you do this? and did it help?
We are desperate, she screams for hours in the evening, sometimes the morning and we have tried most things.

Thanks

i changed to comfort due to constipation. 6months later we are using it x

I also replied to your colief thread, we changed to comfort milk too and dr brown bottles, it was definitely worth it x

Thank you. I will deffo try colief and contemplating comfort milk. Did you find baby switched from first milk to comfort easily? x

We changed to comfort milk, from bf as I was on antibiotics and making Millie poorly.
Switched to this straight away as recognised the signs from first son, he had awful reflux and we tried everthing, infacol, colief, gripe water, then came by this by chance, it was called Omneo comfort then and we found it life changing. Millie was showing the same signs and again is a different baby on this, very settled and content.

I will say though that the hv said you don't need colief etc as lactose already broken down.

We switched from breastfeeding/aptamil 1 to comfort with no problems. There is still lactose in the comfort one but half the amount, so we found we still needed to colief to break it down x

I changed Aliyah's formula to Aptamil Comfort.
She was always constipated on SMA,always screaming during feeds and had so much trapped wind.
This isn't an exaggeration but from her 1st bottle of Aptamil she was like a different baby. She really enjoyed her milk (because she could!) and does explosive poo's if anything lol and passes her wind so easily x
