Hi everyone
Has anyone noticed that the Aptamil Stage 3 milk sort of separates if it is left? If I make up a bottle in advance because we are going out or something I notice after say 20 minutes it has separated into 3 distinct layers - a very watery one at the bottom, a middle one and a very thick layer at the top. It disappears if you shake the bottle up.

Does anyone else have this? Is it ok to give LO or should I throw it away? The stage 1 and 2 milks didn't do this.

Thanks :flower:

I use Stage 3 Aptamil milk. I don't add the milk until LO is ready to eat so I don't know about it separating or if it's harmful.

Maybe you could buy a milk dispenser so that you are only adding the milk when you need it to see if that helps?

I haven't reached the point of using a stage 3 milk yet. But I use an easy digest formula and it does exactly the same thing, I've been told it's completely normal. Just give it a little shake and it mixes back together.

I use easy digest too, and it does this often, i make them up beforehand and put them in the fridge, i always have to give it a good shake when i want to use it

It used to do this with me too,I have just changed to hipp as stage 3 was not agreeing with him even though he was fine on stage 1 before.x

Why do you need to use stage 3? I was told use the normal one im using till shes 1 and then cows milk and that follow on milk's are only made so the companies can advertise them as theyre not allowed to advertise 1st stage?? what one is stage 3 meant for? im confused now

I use Stage 3 because you get Boots Advantage Card points and you don't on Stage 1!

When I looked on the packaging, Stage 1 and Stage 3 are the same and it is because they are only allowed to advertise for 6 months onwards. Stage 3 is just Stage one repackaged (Aptamil specific as I haven't looked at any others).

ohhh, so its the same?? i use aptamil, would quite like boots points haha
