My DS was on normal Aptimal and then he developed Collic so i changed him on Monday there to Aptimal comfort for collic and constipation, he had a dirty nappy on the Monday and then he didnt poo again until Thursday, i tried everything the healvisitor told me to try help him poo, was so glad when he finally did a dirty nappy on the Thursday. Now he didnt have one yesterday either or so far today, im thinking is it maybe the milk as he poo'd everyday before i put him on it? anyone had any experience with the LO's bneing on the APitmal Comfort? Also may be a silly que but how often do ur LO's do a dirty nappy? my DS will be 5 weeks old on Tue, thanks in advance

I put my baby on aptamil comfort due to constipation and colic. It did take him a week to poop after switching and then he has been everyday. I'd say persevere and if it's no better in a week see the gp. We had to give baby lactolose prescribed as we'd tried everything to get him to poop x

Hi hun, my DD has recently switched onto C&G comfort milk as she was being sick quite a bit after feeds. The colour of her sick kept changing. MY hv advised to switch her onto the above. Since switching she's become constipated which is bloody ironic as it's formulated to help babies with constipation and colic.

I'm going to give her a week on this formula and if she's no better I'll be changing her back. I'm just going to offer her water between feeds and see if that also helps her. She's also seeing the dr on the 3rd for her postnatal check up so I'll be mentioning it to the dr and see what she says too.

hiya,

i put my LO on C&G comfort when she was 6 weeks due to sma gold makin her really constipated and after a couple of weeks there wasnt much improvement, but the fidgeting stopped after the 1st bottle and she pooed softer poos every fews days but still seemed to get tummy ache before going poo, so i switched her to aptamil comfort and within a week she was going every other day and not causing her any problems. it did take a couple of days to see a proper result tho, but making sure your LO gets some cooled boiled water helps alot.

the milk does work, just need to give it a bit of time and lots of cuddles at toilet time x

might not help but my LO had awful colic and we kept him on normal aptimal but used colief- we had tried dentanox, infracol etc and found the colief did the trick. Cant rave about this stuff enough- he had colic from 2 weeks and is now 12 weeks old and we have been using it for the whole of the last 10 weeks. If aptimal comfort dosen't improve maybe worth a try.
Also my HV was not very helpful for dealing with his colic- just kept telling me to keep using dentanox- after 6 hrs of my LO crying and screaming in pain at 10pm my OH went to the pharmacy and bought the colief- although it didnt work straight away a couple of days later he was a completley different child. Just a suggestion xxxx

i have also started using colief and i saw an improvvement last night after 3 nights, i get one poo a day even though its gone down from 3, but i dont mind as long as theres one im still learning though and will try colief again today night.

amina dont panic my LO went down to one poo and now he is back up to 2/3 in the day. Let us know how you get on xxx

ollie only ever gives one dirty nappy a day always in the morning after i change him from his night nappy and after his morning bottle its so strange but i could set a clock by it he is on cow and gate comfort formula xx

Luke is on aptamil comfort for constipation, he usualy only poos once a day, which isn't very large, and very occasionaly we get 2 in a day. It took a week or 2 for him to start pooing daily from when we started. X

When my son was constipated I moved him to comfort and he had 6 poos in a night! I changed him back to normal but a few weeks later he is constipated again so I am putting 3 scoops of normal milk and 2 of comfort to see if it has a more gentle effect on him. He did a poo last night so we will see if he does one today.....
