Sorry if this question is silly, but I have a ton of new bibs and wondering if they are needed.

My baby always has a bib on as I never know when he may be sick, he is a little sometimes and changing is bib is easier than an outfit change :)

prob not going to need bibs right away I have never used one on my DD.. She is 4 months old. Breast milk doesn't stink like formula does and doesn't stain clothes either.

I use them when I NIP so I don't accidentally hose her down if she pulls off unexpectedly.

My LO wears one all day just for the odd spit ups that may occur. Then when she was 2 months the drool started! LOL

I end up changing her bib at least 3 times per day because of random spit ups I guess. Sometimes more than that like 6-7 times.

I bought loads, and was also given some, and never used them whilst she was exclusively breastfed; they came into their own during weaning though!

Handy for drooling and weaning, hang onto them!

When your baby starts solids you will need them for sure!

Same as this. I was given loads of bibs and thought I would never use them. Didn't use them at all when he was a baby and didn't use them for ages with weaning either as we got the coverall style bibs to cope with the mess of BLW. But as he got older he didn't want to wear the overall bibs anymore but still needed a bib for meals. So they have all been used eventually!

I use them if she's wearing a nice outfit and/or if we're out of the house, in case she spits up after her feed. I also always put one on her in the car, as she likes to throw up in her carseat :dohh: Plus they're handy as she's dribbling an awful lot at the moment.

Although I got some funny looks when visiting family as I was putting a bib on her then popped her on the boob.. Haha. It just seemed funny! :D

I only use them in the car seat to protect the straps

I get through loads as DS is quite sicky and we'd have to keep changing his clothes if it wasn't for the bibs...I've used them since birth and probably get through a few a day. HTH :)

Thanks ladies! I'll hold on to all my bibs :) I have some cute ones! I just didn't want to look silly putting baby to boob if this wasn't the norm.
