Are late BFPs possible (likely)???

So I'm 14 dpo and all the hpts are showing negative (many, many tests ). I had some mild spotting 2 days ago but it's cleared up. Going by previous cycles my period is 2 days late. I'm driving myself insane, finding it hard to let go of the possibility this could be the month. Typically, my tests have shown positive by 11 dpo. Anyone have any experience of late bfps?

The latest I have read about implantation occurring is about 12DPO. After this, the hcg needs some time to be released in a high enough amount to register on a hpt. I think it is possible that you haven't had a positive yet, but are still pg. There is also the possiblity of ovulation being a little wonky & not happening exactly when you thought it did, which could throw timing off. Please report back with your results for this cycle. I will second Vonn here. I have heard of BFP up to dpo 20. So there is still a chance! Last month my cycle was faulty a peak opk early (CD11-usual is CD16) but then we did go on vacation so I did not temp, and low and behold my LP kept going way past the usual. My guess is I O'd later and had an early false peak, same darn thing happened this month but I verified by temps this time.

Do you know exactly when you ovulated? I usually ovulate cd17 to 21. This last cycle my opks ran out on cd19 (all negative) and then we went on holiday for four days. I guessed I ovulated cd22 so took cd23 as 1dpo. So on 14dpo I thought I was out this cycle as I had a negative on a frer and a cb digi. Then on 16dpo I realised I should take another test and there was a faint line on a frer. According to the date given me by an early scan I realised I ovulated cd26 so this bfp was a bit of a surprise. (And I remember we bd so so much cd15 to cd21 that on cd25 I felt like saying no to dh when he asked for some bd-ing. Glad I didn't lol.

I'm now 10 days late and still bfns.

I am usually 28 days like clockwork. My temps are also still rising !! I'm seeing Dr ties as something has to be a miss !!!

Have you tested again? What were the results?

It's definitely possible to get a late bfp. I had a faint one on 19dpo and it was much darker on 20dpo. According to my blood work my initial hcg levels were simply low rising and have now picked up speed and have reached a "normal" level. So it IS possible.

That being said, it's also possible that your body prepared to ovulate and didn't, meaning that you would ovulate later in the cycle. I noticed that your chart indicates a + opk today, so maybe that's the issue.
