Now that your in the 2nd trimester and your belly is probably growing and your boobs are probably enormous, are you still exercising? What kind of exercise do you do? How has this changed since pre-pregnancy and first trimester?

I've still been doing a cardio dance class 2x a week. It's been a little more difficult to keep up, but I still enjoy it. Hopefully I can stick with it for another couple months. I also started prenatal yoga last week. I really enjoyed it! It is a great place to meet other pregnant ladies in my area.

No seriously...
I can't wait to get back swimming. It's always been my best sport for keeping in shape. I used to do everything and would not loose weight, but swam one lap and lost a kg. Not that I'm trying to loose weight, but I guess that's just my sport.

I would like to do pilates, but I need to find a place that does pregnancy pilates.

I had to stop during the first tri because of spotting and I was told not to swim. After that it was the fatigue and nausea. Now I have no more excuses. I really do want to get back at moving myself!

I do everything I did before pregnancy. I first checked with my Dr. For the ok.

I lift weights though I lowered them by 50% just to be on the safe side and as my bump grows I take a wider stance to accommodate and do more "sumo" variety of my lifts. I also still do my cardio. I workout an hour a day and just dial down the intensity. Baby tells me how much is ok to do and how much is too much. I really pay attention to that. I know I'm pushing it too hard if I suddenly feel uncomfortable. Then I make sure to either stop or slow down till all feels normal again. Your body will tell you what you can and can't do as you go along.

Totally! It helps that my ds loves stroller walks, so I try and take him for a brisk walk /jog if I'm up for it at least once a day. Then I use him as weights and lift him over my head and do reps :haha: Working out does helps my pregnancy pains and gives me the energy to chase my little man around!

I run my own dance school with my sister so there is no way I could stop e exercising... There were a couple of weeks in the first trimester where I felt a bit dodgy but you just have to power through! Now I'm into second trimester I can't wait to get back after our break over the summer.... We return in 3 weeks. I'm desperate ... As well as putting on my baby weight I'm also putting the weight on I do every year when I take my summer break!!!

This is my first baby and I'm not worried at all about how baby is doing in there... As long as I'm feeling fine then I'm going with baby feeling fine too!

I use to do 10 km on my exercise bike 4-5 times a week. As of last week I was doing 4-5 km 3-4 times a week, the past few days here have been so hot it's been hard to really do any cardio. I've also been lifting light 5 lbs weights a few days a week since I found out I'm pregnant and can still manage that in the heat.

I'm trying! I do Zumba once a week, but I've skipped it the last 2 weeks :( The last class I was doing, I had to take a break during 2 routines, and I never had to do that before. Just couldn't do it. I am going to try REALLY hard to get back into it as much as I can starting again this week. If anything, I should keep to the treadmill. I used to do that a couple times a week. I just don't have the energy to get up early enough to beat the crowds lol

Not really. I do a 30 minute yoga routine 3 times a week and I do about 30 minutes of walking every day, but I also eat like a pig. The weight is piling on, but physically I feel great.

I walk about a mile 3x a week. Hoping to add in some swimming as well....Just taking it easy but stay active as I am hoping it will help me keep the weight gain down (was only up 9 pounds as of 3 weeks ago)....

I am! I still run 3-4 miles 3 or 4 times a week. I'm going a lot slower than I was and have to fit it in first thing or I feel like I'll wet myself but other than that it's making me feel great. I also do a yoga DVD and another pregnancy DVD (Suzanne bowens pregnancy workout) on the days I don't run. I lift weights still and do A LOT of stretching, especially around the hip and pelvic area because I'm trying to avoid spd this time (have no idea if this will work but so far so good)

I've gained a lot less weight this pregnancy but have a much better diet than with my first (apart from my snacks, I cannot help my lion bar obsession!)

I did have to stop between 6-9 weeks due to spotting / bleeding and didn't start again until 11 weeks when sickness had stopped and I had energy again.

I'm still hanging in there. Great to see other women sticking with some version of their normal routines.

I'm down to 2.5-3 miles 2-3 times a week with a 3-4 mile hike some nights. At the very least, my dog gets walked 1.5-3 miles a day.

I keep thinking I need to get a maternity belt. Lil Miss Bean bounces on my bladder as soon as I start running. It's kind of a struggle and sometimes I walk up the steeper hills, but I feel so good when I'm done with a run.

There's a 5 k fun run on Saturday that I'm seriously tempted to attend. It will depend on the heat and how much energy I have left by the end of the week.

Unfortunately, the kettlebell workout fell by the wayside a couple of weeks ago. I miss it. Although time is limiting and I'm going to pick up a prenatal yoga class in the next few weeks.

I'm still working out, but slowed down quite a bit. My boobs are huge so I had to get a bunch of new bras. I run/walk about 3-4 miles at a time, and do it 3-4 times a week. I also do very light weights maybe twice a week. I want to start doing yoga again since I love stretching and I think it'll also help with labor.

My weight gain has been pretty average, I think I've gained about 13 pounds. My diet has gotten worse than before, but I still try where I can to eat healthy e.g. not having more than one banana split / week.

You ladies are making me feel like a fat, lazy, slob. :o( I was doing some squats and push-ups for a while but have stopped. I wish I had a treadmill or bicycle at home. The thought of having to buy maternity gym clothes just sickens me!

I used to walk pretty often (my son's school is just under a mile away so I'd walk him to school and back) now with summer vacay and it's just so freeking Hot out I don't walk much anymore. I do a prenatal pilates on the pregnancy ball video at home a few times a week.

And now I'm sat on my pregnancy ball waiting to build up the energy to do my pilates, lol.

No and I feel guilty about it! I was doing the squat challenge but dipped out because I was shattered and couldn't face food for ages. I have a lot more energy now so have no excuse really. I keep meaning to start up some yoga or some pregnancy fitness videos I've got on pinterest, as well as picking back up the squat challenge and incorporating some light weights as I want to be able to wear sleeveless tops in this weather! When I start maternity leave I'm going to get a swimming pass and go swimming every day but that's months away! I do walk here and there though and run around after 2 kids!

I suppose I needed to exercise before to be able to answer if I am STILL exercising lol

I started my walking when I got pregnant! Lol I had ankle surgery and need to wait 12-18 months before I can resume my Zumba and such, it's a year only next month!

I'm so jealous of you ladies! I worked out 7 days a week before. Cardio 1st thing in the morning, weight training at night. Running, training for a marathon. I loved it. But when I went for my first scan they found a subchorionic hematoma and I was told light light duty only. Dr didn't even want me to pick up my DD (yeah, right.) I miss it. But I have to wait until my 2nd scan (20 weeks) to see if it went away to start again.:coffee:
