Are You Still Exercising?

I am almost at the beginning of 3rd Trimester. I used to walk my dog for 30 minutes every morning, and we walk at a pretty brisk pace. That's about the only real exercise I get.

I'm still exercising everyday. I try to aim for one hour of cardio. Sometimes I will walk and bike in the same day and other times I will only walk or bike.

This pregnancy was a complete surprise. I lost 10lbs since the new year thanks to My Fitness Pal. I was running and biking a lot. Unfortunately, I'm in no mood to run because I have a 5cm cyst on my left ovary and I kind of "feel it". It's difficult to explain. Anyhow, I don't feel that running would be beneficial at this point. Instead, I am sticking to walking and cycling.

I plan on swimming laps indoors and using my exercise bike when summer ends. I plan on walking as long as I can since we have a very active dog.

I am still logging my calories because I don't want to overeat. I stick to approximately 2000 to 2200 calories per day. I've gained 5lbs so far. I seem to be on track. My next medical appointment is next week. If the doctor has any concerns, I will adjust my lifestyle accordingly.

I am 14 weeks at the moment.

I have slacked off but I was at 2100 calories a day and I walk about a mile three times a week. This helped me keep the weight off as well!

I'm almost 21 weeks and have been running/weight lifting every day. I'm a personal trainer and an avid runner - been active for years and my doctor said to just slow down a bit and lift less. I seriously cannot imagine not exercising. It relaxes me, makes me feel strong and happy;)

I've never thought i would say this - but I love being pregnant.I am more confident than ever! Fit pregnancy makes me feel so sexy and powerful! I encourage all my clients to stay active through the entire 9 months! I truly believe my fitness level i've built over the years helped me with how my body is feeling now.

Just came across a summary of this publication where researchers linked increased maternal activity in the third trimester with decreased fetal adiposity without affecting non-fat birth weight.

Another reason to get active and stay active.

My midwife just told me no more running. I'm so annoyed! It's because of a low lying placenta so hopefully will be able to start up again in 6 weeks if it's moved up.

Yep! I''m 33 weeks and do HIIT (high intensity interval training), power yoga, weight lifting, spinning and swim every week. I end up exercising in an official capacity 5-6 days a week and then staying active with my 2 and 4 year old and general healthy living constantly. Everything I did before, and everything I did throughout my other 2 pregnancies. I have gained 8lbs to date and my midwives are in no way concerned. Baby is fleshing out, I'm just not putting on much else. (Though my 4 year old did tell me yesterday he thinks the baby has moved to my butt since he thinks it is getting bigger! Nice!) This is about where I stood with my other babes at this point, and they were 7lbs 6oz and 8lbs 9oz, respectively, so it is not like I am having teeny tiny babies.

Hell, if I can't hit the bottle, I gotta hit the gym! ;)
