Would you change doctors or in this emotional state am I over reacting? Are you unhappy with your doctor? Let it out!
I'm just going to call my doctor Dr. B and the I guess you could call her the head nurse Ms. E
I went to Dr B's office about 5 times over a 2 month period. I never saw Dr B until the 5th time and it was only for about 2 minutes in the hallway. I had asked more for Ms E because I am more comfortable with a female but figured I would at least meet him!
I had had a Lap to remove a cyst on my ovary about a year before and it looked like it was starting to grow back. Dr B was considering going to surgery to take my left ovary since the cyst I found out was only drained not removed and they believed my left tube might be blocked. They decided however just to keep an eye on it and try the first round of clomid.
Since it didn't seem to work at least not as well as they were hoping I was told to come back next cycle and try again. Ms E talked to Dr B and they decided they were going to try a different med to better fit my situation and that the surgery they Dr B had previously been considering was not yet needed. Then when my cycle started and I called in to make my appointment to get everything checked out before starting clomid again he suddenly changed his mind and wanted to go straight to surgery and would no longer treat me without it.
I understand why he's for the surgery but I explained to them it would cost me my job and I was willing to try the other meds first and they refused. Now having done a little more research I understand evn more why they're for surgery. It wouldn't be such a big deal to me but why tell me one thing and then without even seeing me since I was told that thing completely change their mind.
I was overall less than thrilled about my experience. I haven't been back in a few months due to trying to get my finances situated for surgery and temp not having insurance and I'm seriously questioning whether to go back or finding a new Dr. I might just be picky but you all know this is a very stressful and trying time and I just didn't feel like they were helping physically or emotionally which I feel is needed in a situation like this.
