I sent off my MA forms on 24th May at 28+6. They got them and started processing them 30th May.

Then they told me 14 working days to process then two weeks after that you get a payment

Why the hell does it take so long?!

Arghh, I only sent mine of on monday, completely forgot about it. I'm dreading waiting to see how long it takes. It's not straight forward either as I am using 20 weeks employed and 6 weeks self employed. I'm sure they'll come up with something complicated to delay matters ! Let us know when yours is processed x

Why? Because they have to process and deal with so many claims!

Claims where there's no entitlement, claims which have have an entitlement and be gotten into payment using the most archaic of systems, on top of having to achieve unrealistic benchmarks, constant scrutiny, making sure claims are free from fraud and error, not paid incorrectly.

Claims take time, theres a lot that has to be done when processing a claim, it's not as simple as getting someone's form, reading them and then putting it into payment straight away.

nah its just frustrating that i posted mine the same time as a friend and shes already been paid!

Obviously! I think Griffin was just venting her frustration :) !
