Hey guys,

Well to start off, my mother had trouble with conception and miscarriages. She was told she couldn't have kids at all and of course she did but she used Clomid and during pregnancy had to have a shot every so often because he body treated the pregnancy like an infection and kill it.

Well, I had maybe 5-6 periods (irregeular) and then I stopped getting them all together. It's been over 2 years since I've had one and I had never been to an OBGYN before.

My husband and I were TTC for about a year with no luck. I finally went to the doctor and got put on birth control to help kick start my period. This Thursday (December 5, 2013) I will stop the bc pills and start the week of sugar pills. I'm really hoping to start my period.

I don't have my own doctor like most people, I just go to a cheap clinic, so of course the doctor doesn't REALLY care. But she told me my best bet to getting pregnant is to lose weight.

So I've been dieting. Or trying. And been taking my bc pills every day on time. I'm just hoping this will help and after a few months I can TTC again. Prayers please. <3

Hi there... I am so sorry you are going through this.

Unfortunately, if you were not having your period before you started birthcontrol, then there is an underlying fertility issue going on there. I highly doubt birthcontrol in any case is going to "fix" the problem and kickstart your body. If anything, it can cause hormonal problems to get worse.

If you have weight problems, and are not ovulating, it may be likely you have PCOS. Of course, I am not a doctor, but that's my guess.

You REALLY need to see an OBGYN somehow. That is probably the only way you're going to be able to navigate what is going on.

Good luck!

^^

Is there a obgyn clinic that you can go too? I agree just putting you on this without any bloods or tests done is nuts. They need to find the underlying cause of this to treat it, not just throw meds that may or may not makes things worse..

please try and find someone who can run some tests on you even if its a regular gp..

i would ask for a hormonal work up....and maybe ask to be sent to a sonogram to see what is going on with your lining and ovaries...\

good luck hun

Haven't got any advice but hope you get this sorted!
Just think yes your mum did have problems but she had you so it wasn't an impossible situation!
Good luck :flower:

Good luck. I would get a specialist doctor to advise you on your best steps.

I want to get a better doctor and get more answers but I only have plan first medicaid. And no other insurance. I don't know where to go.
