hello all, i had a 2nd m/c and the nurse at the hospital said, next time u get pregnant come here and we will put you on 75mg of asprin, why is this??? can she see something on the scan, which indicates why i lost my baby again??? has anyone been in the same situation and this has worked?? any advice would be great:cry:

I did not think you were allowed Asprin when pregnant, would like to know why she said that . . .

P.s, sorry for your losses.

Asprin's not recommended unless under medical supervision but can help reduce the risk of miscarriage in people with sticky blood and those types of disorders as it's the little clots that can cause miscarriage.

Good luck next time babe:hugs:

she said i take 75mg, and its safe, unsure, been a few sites who say this helps the blood thin out??

Ah, I see.

hiya hun baby asprin (75m) can help with preparing ur utress, making the lining a good healthy thick ness..plus the other benifits with baby asprin(one a day) are fab !
after my mc in march this yr,i read up about this and asked my doc wot he thought n he said defo,,,,perfectley safe to take for lots of benifits, me and dh av took them every day since...still waitin for my sticky :bfp: but we will get there :)
its nothing to worrying about its been proven to help prevent any other mc hun :)

i was wondering, i may start taking one a day after my next period, can u buy these over the counter?? still upset with it all, and it has been a long few days too xx

I think I will take some this time around too.

Hi

Firstly I am so sorry to hear you've had such a rough time. I've had 2 mmc - one in July and another in September. I heard that some ladies take baby aspirin (75mg) when they've had recurrent miscarriages. It helps thin the blood and helps the bean to stick. I started taking it last month and got my :bfp: last week. I'm feeling more positive about this one and I'm still testing every day and the line is getting darker every day.

I hope this gives you a bit of hope. You can buy baby aspirin over the counter at your chemist.

Good luck

cerilou - i too lost 2 babies in july and september, how funny to think we were going thru the same thing.
i got my bfp on 5th, and am also taking asprin, even tho the doc said he had never heard of it, but i have read enough reports that said the low dose is safe. its worth baring in mind that a normal asprin tablet it 300mg, and that u can take three of them in a single dose... so it really is a TINY amount at only 75mg.

so sorry for your loss babe, chin up, it does get better xxxx

Im so sorry for your loss.
I think i will start taking this too, i have never heard of it before.
Hope you get your healthy bfp soon

thanks ladies for all your support xxxxxxxxxx

I have also had 2 mc's and was told to take 75mg of aspirin as soon as i find out i'm pregnant again - i have, and i'm now 19 weeks pregnant. :hugs:

I knew someone who had 2 m/cs before it was reommended that she took asprin daily.
This was to help her blood thin out and be more healthy.
She is now 25 weeks with a little girl...
Good luck x
