Ate Cold French Fries?

Hello ladies

my sister is in her second tri and her husband bought for himself a Hardee's meal with french fries but he didn't arrive home until it was cold from the car's air codetioner. He took about less than half an hour to reach home about (20 minutes) and when he did she ate some of his fries and started to freak out that it wasn't 'pipping hot' and she was reading about listeria and its dangers on pregnancy etc.

she has an appoinment tomorrow which is the closest she could get because the hospital is packed with appoinments

I've been trying to calm her down but she's freaking out to the point that she stopped sleeping altogether

she asked me to ask anyone about what she done and get a better perspectivese on her situation.

Oh thank god, thank you so much for the quick respond she's next to me and weeping like a kid I did tell her she's overreacting cause its her first but she one of those who worry too much

I'm very sorry, this made me giggle a little and I don't mean it in a bad way.

...but there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating French fries that have been out for 20 minutes. Temperature doesn't matter just as long as they haven't been sitting at room temperature for a couple hours.

No risk, french fries/potatoes aren't a risk food at all. Listeria is in chilled foods such as pate, blue cheese, some deli meats and pre-made sandwiches. She's fine and so is the baby, give her a hug.
