Average Ovulation date not for me? (previously posted in the wrong section)

Hi ladies thanks for your attention to my post!
My boyfriend & I aren't ttc but were not entirely being careful either, (pull out method, going a few rounds with no clean up inbetween? lol TMI sorry)
I watch my ovulation date on an app on my phone (PinkPad) however, it uses averages, so I'm unsure if my ovulation dates were correct?
I'm a week late & we had sex on cycle day 13 & I had what I assume is ovulation spotting a few days after, (I wasn't scheduled to ovulate for at least another 5 days) is it possible that sex on cycle day 13 could have resulted on conception (could I have ovulated earlier than my calendar says?) I'm a week late with a few possible symptoms (breasts hurt, increase CM, gassy).
Should I test?
Could my app be misleading me about when I ovulate?

I assume if you're using that app that you don't temp or chart. Is that correct? If it is, then, yes, you could easily have ovulated at a different time than you think. I'd say if you think AF is a week late, then test. GL!
