Let's catch up and share how our little ones are doing now! I may remember you from pregnancy!

After an absolutely horrendous first 7 months (which I just am not ready to go into yet) our boy, Zach, is doing amazingly! He tries to walk, tries to talk, finally sleeps reasonably, is into everything, raids our cupboards, has an awesome sense of humour...He's a little whirlwind and cheeky as hell.

I'd love to hear how your near one-year-olds are doing now!

Mine's heading for 2 now but I remember you from when you were struggling and just wanted to say I'm so glad he's doing better and you got through it. :flower:

Henry's only 9 months but thought I'd join in anyway :)

We had a rough start with tongue tie and then undiagnosed CMPA, finally got him onto nutramigen at around 3 months and he turned into a new baby!

He's been crawling since 6 months, is pulling up & crusing and is starting to take steps independently :o

Weaning has been a challenge as he's also reacts to soya however he absolutely loves food!

The one thing I've really enjoyed watch develop is his relationship with his older brother, they are so close and love each other to bits ❤️

Thank you Meep, much appreciated :) We're still facing challenges...He's still on daily medication and eats very few foods, but we're a million miles away from the hell we've come through

Jodilee I remember you! Glad to hear your little man did well on Nutramigen. Neocate was one of the big steps for us after breastfeeding dairy/soy/gluten free for 4 months!

My 3 life savers have been Neocate, lansoprazole and sleep training. All things I was not expecting to ever have to do. Bye bye natural birthing, breastfeeding, cosleeping, baby-led weaning mama!

Zach also started moving his legs at 9 months (after never having crawled though!)

I'm jealous of that sibling bond...I'd love another child...A very easy one. With no allergy/reflux/sleep issues. Who just chills out with Zach. So it's very much just a dream for now. We can't risk going through this again just yet!

When the time comes I am 100% determined to birth at home. My hospital birth was hell

We will have a 10 month old in 2 days. She is so happy and an absolute joy. She is extremely clingy right now though and isn't too keen on playing on her own for long anymore. Guess that's what happens at this age!

Can't believe we will have one year olds so soon!!!

Zach has never played alone for more than a few minutes! I thought we'd skipped the separation anxiety phase but I guess we're just late, as today he burst into tears whenever I left the room:dohh:

I don't recognize any of you, but can I join anyway? My little dragon will be a year in July! We had an extraordinarily MISERABLE first 6 months brought in by 3 months of breastmilk making her miserable until we realized she has mspi, then trailing different formulas and medications that made her worse to the point she stopped gaining weight and finally putting her on a homemade goat milk diet which has made her so much better! She eats a ton! We have to be careful to avoid dairy, soy and peas, but other than that she's doing great!

Just started crawling last week and is into EVERYTHING now! Pretty sure she's cutting her too two teeth and one beside her bottom so I'm praying they come soon so we can all get some sleep again!

Hey JumpinIn! I definitely remember our correspondence when we were both pregnant! I think you were due a day ahead of me. Then you went early and my little guy decided to come 4 days late.

Well I am so thankful that most of the problems that you had early on have subsided. I can't even begin to understand how hard all that was for you.

Just like your son, my son has not crawled either. He cruzes and is determine to walk. His father did not crawl either so it isn't a shock to me. He is a very big boy too, so that makes it harder for him. He is the happiest most joyful boy. Only cries if he's overtired. He is a bit clingy to me now. He is fine once I leave the room and someone distracts him with something else though. He loves people and smiles at everyone!

Welcome Kyla! That's so interesting about the goat milk...I was told by the doctors that the proteins in it are too similar to cow's milk so we never tried it...Good to know you've had success! I know the misery of allergies and I too stopped breatfeeding. After 16 weeks of feeding several times an hour on demand and him still having bloody nappies despite me having cut out dairy, soy, gluten, nuts, beef and all kinds of other stuff, we decided it would be best to try an amino acid formula, and thankfully it worked! Well, it helped at least. Your girl looks so adorable and happy now!

Hlynne remember you very well, you were so slim for ages and I can't believe you were hiding that chunk in there! He looks so sweet and sounds a lot like Zach...Very sociable, only interested in walking, cruising around a lot now. I think they'd get on well! Two massive walking adorable happy babies. How was your birth?

Lovely to catch up and thank you. Yes it was an absolutely miserable hell for months on end. But look at the reward. I think if anything it's brought us closer to him

Hey JumpinIn, well my birth was quite hard. So my back waters broke (I didn't even know there were two bags of waters, front and back) two days after I was due. That was probably due to me power washing our house the day prior. I wanted this boy to come out ;)! So I got admitted but the waters were only trickling, not a huge gush. So they monitored me through the night and nothing was happening. So they started me on Pitosin. The contractions weren't too bad the first hour despite the horrors I heard about Pitosin. I always heard to avoid it at all costs. After that the contractions were so bad. Since my waters broke it was the only thing that the doctor could do to speed up the labor that was safe and wouldn't cause any infection. So, I was on Pitosin for 18 hours before my son decided to make his appearance. I went all natural. No pain killers whatsoever. I literally thought I was going to die because of what the Pitosin was doing to my body. The contractions were so so horrible. I felt like my body was giving up. I threw up so much. The nurses couldn't believe that I was doing it without any pain meds. I couldn't believe it myself!! It was all worth it though. He came out so healthy and alert. He could even stand with me holding his hands by himself at 3 weeks. This boy is so strong! Anyway, so that was my experience. I would do it all over again if I had to. He was totally worth all the pain.

I remember reading about your birth experience. Yours was not a piece of cake either! Neither was your pregnancy!

Hey Jumpingin! I remeber you. Sara will be one at the end of the month. She is doing great.

We are still breastfeeding, and eating solids of course. She is walking and has been for a month or so, sleeps great (at night) and is smart as could be. Gives her big bro a run for his money for sure. She crawled around 5 months. She has 8 teeth. She is really social. She has stuck in or around the 50th percentile since birth, give or take a few points.

She is doing great, except daytime naps. Bane of my existence. LOL.

Oh my goodness that is INTENSE! I was induced too as you know and I tried standing the contractions (yes, they're horrendous. I was on the floor and was convinced I was going to die, and my pain threshold is very high) for hours but after about 6 hours they checked and I was still only 1cm so I caved and accepted the epidural they were pushing on me. I very much wish I hadn't. He was born by ventouse with breathing difficulty and he needed some gravity to help him come out, but obviously I was lying down because of the epidural. Next time all natural. No compromises unless baby is in danger. In awe of you having done that!

I'm hoping for better luck next time! Any plans for number 2 yet? I need to finish my studies so it'll be a couple of years for us

Ah yes I remember you misspriss! So glad to hear Sara is doing so well. Early walker! They say younger siblings walk earlier by imitation.

I think we're all struggling with day time naps! Zach has no consistency with them at all. The afternoon nap is often entirely refused, so that by 4pm he's a screaming wreck! But he's not quite ready to take just one because in the morning he can only last until around 10am before crashing out. I think this is a tricky phase for day sleep.

Are you having a little birthday party? We're doing a pirate theme and having a few friends over

I never came on here while i was pregnant but thought i would join in :flower:

My little man is 10 months old, will be one on the 10th of july
He is our rainbow baby and sometimes i still can't believe he is here.

Anyways he is a little gem, he got his first tooth at 6 months and now has 7 :)
He will eat anything that is put in front of him, sometimes there is no filling him lol.
He won't crawl at all, hates being on his tummy but loves walking everywhere whilst holding our hands.
He loves to sit on the floor and play with his toys (will play for ages, even by himself) but i have noticed lately that he's looking around for me more now and making sure i'm in his sight.
he has his big sister and brother (10 and 13) wrapped around his little finger, all he has to do is smile his cheeky smile and they will give him anything, although that has resulted in him taking tempers if he doesn't get what he wants :haha:

I can't believe 10 months has passed since he came into our lives :cloud9:

I do t remember anyone from the pregnancy boards but that's because I never really commented, DS is our rainbow baby and he amazes me every day. He was one on Tuesday. We had issues with what we were told was reflux from about 10 weeks and he was throwing up 2/3 of every feed but he was always so smily with it. He weaned st six months and I was desperate for BLW but because he started refusing all milk we had to do puréed and finger food to make sure he gained weight. Unfortunately he has some allergies and had awful diarrhoea for months and lost weight between December and April but we are finally seeing the paeds, they thought milk allergy but apparently not as since we stopped formula about a month ago and put him on cows milk he has less issues. He eats like a horse and is slowly gaining a bit of weight but he's still my tiny little boy in the 9th percentile. He is close to walking, stands by himself but won't take that first step, loved using his walker though. He crawled at 8 months but usually only to get somewhere to pull up which he's been doing since 5 months, he has a small umbilical hernia and some diastasis and hates tummy time lol. He is generally a lovely smily happy baby who loves zooming his cars round the house, his dolly, playing phones, drawing and his baby piano. His sleep was great till about six months but has been up and down since then, currently he sleeps 7:30 till 5ish with 1 or 2 wake ups over night and naps twice in the day for anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, he still needs about 2.5 hours per nap and gets cranky when he doesn't have it lol. He is just starting to make his opinions known and has tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants but he's also started using a few words.
