Baby’s head is facing down?

Decided to post a new thread since this is a different topic...

Yesterday I had my doctors appointment and she felt my stomach and said the baby’s head/body was facing down..anyone know what this means? I’m only 31 weeks this Sunday. I had so many other questions for her at the time I forgot to ask what she meant by that. Thanks in advance!

I may be wrong but by this I would assume baby has turned into the correct position to be born head down . So baby’s head will be at the bottom of your stomach ready to engage into the pelvis to be born . Don’t worry this can be a long process and baby may not engage fully until labour or they could switch back !

This is what I would assume. I'm pretty sure from my pregnancies I was told they start this anywhere from 27 weeks or so. Both of mine moved head down around 28 weeks.

My two previous pregnancies, babies have been head down since 27 weeks. They were born at 41 weeks and 40+5 weeks. My current pregnancy I was told baby's head was down at my last appointment (just before 26 weeks) but I guess baby still has space to move.

Sounds like baby is head down which is normal

Thanks to all that replied! I just wanted to make sure that it didn’t mean she would be born earlier than expected! Glad to know it’s not out of the usual.

Definitely not! Mine were 40+1 & 39+4.
