Baby acting sleepy then like they want to play?

My baby does this all the time. She will go from yawning and crying of tiredness to acting like she wants to play (happy, smiling, "talking"). Anyone else's baby like this? What do you do?

For naps I usually get her out of her crib and play again. But tonight she's doing it at bedtime so I don't want to get her out and play. But I hate that she's in her crib and is squealing with excitement and I'm not interacting with her. I'm also so tired and frustrated she's not sleeping I want to cry.

Sounds like she's overtired. My daughter has done this since she was little, it took me forever to realize she was hyper/excited from being overtired.

I agree with the others. Yawning is a late tired sign and means she could be already overtired. My daughter at 5 still does this now. She'll get really overexcited, noisy, extra silly, use nonsense words, sing super loud etc. and we know she's overtired.

Good to know because my LO does this. Acts tired then wants play time with giggles and games, then starts freaking out when I try to nurse him.
