Very quick update. Baby Aubree arrived at 3:09am last night after 24 hours of labor (3 hours pushing). She's beautiful.<3. OH adores her and of course I do too. And she is a breast feeding champ so far!
I however am not doing well at all. I had 3rd degree tearing which has put me in severe pain and agony. I can't walk, sit, or stand. The nurses are concerned as I haven't peed since 3am. I haven't slept since 5pm Friday or had a meal since 2am Saturday. I'm awfully weepy because I'm so tired, hungry and in severe pain.
Anyways girls, all worth it. :) Want to thank everyone on the board for your support and cannot wait to see you in baby club!!!!!

I just squealed when I saw this update!! SOSOSOSO excited for you and hope to see pictures of her soon!!!! It took me awhile to pee also, I had to have them empty my bladder with a cath because I just couldn't go! Was she born on the 12th or 13th? I hope they give you something for your tears! They're giving me Tylenol with codeine every 6 hours and Motrin every 8 for my 2nd degree tears. Hasn't completely taken the pain away but it does help definitely! ALSO, that water bottle will become your best friend! Everyone here has said using warm water helps alleviate the pain but I find cooler water to be muuuuuuuch more relieving to my tears!

CONGRATS AGAIN MAMA!!!!

Massive congratulations!!!

Warning, it may sting like an absolute bitch when you pee. Drink a lot of water, helps to make your pee less acidic!

Congratulations. Wishing you a speedy recovery. And the stingy pee thing. ..I agree. Drink plenty and take a jug with you to pour while ur peeing.

Well done! Enjoy ur baby girl!

Congratulations! Sorry to hear you're still suffering some pain but I'm sure looking at your little girl makes it all worth it. Congratulations again, can't wait to see a photo.

Aw congratulations! Do try and eat something, keep your strength up and it'll make you feel better, especially if you aren't sleeping! Hope you get some rest xxx

Congratulations!! I'm sure you'll be feeling better in no time :( xxxx

Ooh congrats! Sorry about the tears :(
Did they offer you an episiotomy?
I can't wait for pics!

Thanks, ladies! Doing much better now. I was given some pain medicine which is helping quite a bit. My first post delivery pee was horrid, but every pee after that one has been alright. Very much dreading my first post delivery poop, though.
Haven't had much sleep as Aubree is a hungry girl and it seems the nurses are coming in and out of my room every few hours. I did at least get something to eat which was great for reviving some energy! I'll have to post a full birth story and photos once I get back to my laptop. We should be leaving the hospital on Tuesday.
Hope all of you girls are doing well!

I'm dreading the first poop too!! They keep giving me stool softeners and I keep telling them it better not make me poop because I don't wanna go!!! Lol. So far its just made me gassy.

I am seriously soooooo excited and happy for all of us! I can't stop crying lol. Maybe I need to take my drugged and tired self back to sleep :-p Soo looking forward to seeing more updates!!!

I know its not the same as my birth was a c section, but first poop scared the crap outta me too but it felt amazing my back had hurt melike mad and once I pooped it felt so much bbetter. Unfortunately I hadn't had any stool softeners too awful recently so they were hard but the relief was amazing my gas pushed mine out I just had to sit there . I just have stretching issues when I pee.
I know amsan! I am too! :) we're all mommys! After that long stretch together we did it! :cloud9:

I ended up with a second degree tear and it hurts to sit even with direct pressure on it.

I know its just so amazing I feel our babies are all connected!

Congrats.

Sorry your feeling rough - hope you feel much better real soon. xxx

Congratulations! Can't wait to see the photos when you're home and recovered :)

I'm about a week behind you and Amsan, and these stories are making it feel very real to me that I'm almost there too. Exciting, but a bit scary too :)
