Hey Guys, I thought i would share my story as our new baby boy arrived on Monday weighing 7.9 . 
My first (now 7) was an emergency section due to drop in heart rate and they put me to sleep so this was a different experience and was my choice to have section.
Monday I was soooo scared and nervous about having my planned section. I waited in hospital from 6.30am and was called up for my section around 10.30am. The room was quite big, bright and cool. Lots of people in there setting up about 6 of them. They put something in my hand to start of with to put drip in afterwards and pain relief during.
The spinal was fine it didnt really hurt just a bit of discomfort and just worried through it, they lay me back on the bed and waited for me to go numb and put catheter in. I could feel my legs going tingerly and numb untill i couldnt lift them, it wasnt so bad just a strange feeling and then they began. All i could feel was pulling, tugging, movin touching sensations but it wasnt painful. I started getting pains in my chest so i had some pain relief through my hand which made the room spin for 10 mins LOL. The baby came out pretty quickly and i could turn my head and watch them check him over with daddy on the side of the room. They brought him over so i could look and then daddy held him, then it was just stitching me back up.
After a few hours i could slowly feel my legs again and they took catheter out after 5 hours (i felt it was too soon) I was so happy it was out but after a further 6 hours i couldnt wee so it had to go back in, i was very upset about this as was worried about my bladder
and the next day got very emotional. They left it in for 24 hours and tuesday night they took it back out and i could wee fine I felt so much better, just very sore and hard getting in and out of bed. Wednesday i went home, and now feeling really good, just sore still. Baby Is really good and sleeping and breast feeding well. I cant wait to go out and show him off but going to rest and go out saturday
