Hi was wondering if anyone can help or has had experience in this area. Im 38+4 weeks pregnant and bump growth chart has been bang on the 50th centile or slightly under the whole pregnancy and when i went for my check up today bump has got smaller and is now 34cm, under the 10th centile. Bump was at 36cm 2 weeks ago but has now got smaller, midwife has said baby is not engaged yet. She has refered me to hospital but i have to wait to hear from them for scan. Does anyone know the process i might have to go through or could this just be normal or would baby have to be delivered early? This is my second child and have never had any probs before.

So basically im 38+4 weeks and bump is measuring at 34cm. Waiting on growth scan appointment.

Hey. Didn't want to read and run. I'm not sure but it could just mean the baby has dropped into your pelvis making you measure smaller! Being engaged and dropping are different. At 38 weeks I wouldn't worry as regardless bubs is ready to make an appearance! X

ur bump could measure small for a number of reasons. they need to scan you to be accurate. the measurement of ur tummy is not v accurate as to how baby is doing. i was measuring 8 weeks ahead but that was down to fluid and freya was born 98th percentile. x

if baby is measuring smaller then id say theyd induce u x

the scan will provide more information to you gl hun
