Max has been doing this for like 4 weeks now ! weather im breast feeding him or bottle feeding him he dose it

he takes the bottle or nipple and drinks but makes clicks with his toungue and then chokes on milk and gets angery with me :dohh: why does he do this and how can i make him stop or...at least try lol

That is a sure sign of an incorrect latch hon. I'd call your lactation consultant.

i agree with Marge... definetly an incorrect latch hun!

Does he do it all through the feed? It means he's breaking the seal, and some babies do click when the milk first lets down as they struggle to keep up with the flow. Sam used to do it to (even on a bottle) and was latched on ok but was having trouble keeping up. As the flow slowed down it would stop. Now that he's used to the faster flow (from me and from a bottle) he doesn't do it any more.

I agree though, it can mean the latch is incorrect, especially if it's all through the feed x

Clicking is usually a sound baby makes from the back of his tongue and can happen even when there is a decent seal ( though if the clicking sound is more "forward" I completely agree with sam's mom.)

Basicaly baby's latch is too shallow... he needs more areola in his mouth but more areola from the bottom of the nipple not more around. Kinda hard to explain but will try if OP doesn't have access to a LC.

I figured it might be the latch problem as he had this problem since day 1 (peanut toungue) he only does it once in or twice while feeding mostly with the bottle not while im breast feeding ..I feed him with playtex drop in the nipple i have is the natural latch ..he'll stop once i move the nipple around and he keeps going ..hes on the slow flow for now

I bought a fast flow but he chocked so i dont think hes ready just yet

Has he been checked for tongue-tie?

Sorry yeah (peanut toungue) is what they used as word at the hospital ..he is toungue tied

It might be worth trying to get the tie snipped, you might need to push for it, but it does make a tremendous difference to the latch.

Bella does this too. Her's is more in the front of her mouth and my LC said it was cause my flow is too fast for her, so she's trying to slow it down. When we were still in the hospital she said it could make my nipples sore, but I've never once had even the little bit tenderness in my nipples.
