baby disengaging has this happened to anyone?

If my baby has not engaged by 41 weeks I want to arrange a c-section. Do you guys think this will be possible?

Yes you can request a c-section, but you can still be induced when babys head not engaged, I couldn't have a sweep because of this but I was induced twice then she became engaged, I was then induced a third time as nothing happened, then they broke my waters. They can still induce when babies heads not engaged :)

Hi. Do you live in the UK?

Yes I do near manchester

Oh that's good!

So it is possible to schedule a c-section on the NHS for the reason that the baby is past its due date an remains unengaged.

When I was in hospital the midwife said to me you can always request a c-section they can't tell you no, but they will always try and persuade you into going for a normal birth and apparently do put alot of pressure on you to not go for a c-section as the safest way to prevent excessive bleeding is vaginal birth, can I just ask why you would like a c-section if baby is not engaged? Is it because you dont want to be induced? X

Because I don't want to risk a coard prolapse. This can occur if baby is not engaged when you are induced.

Ohh right I see, I didn't know that when I was induced and not one midwife mentioned that to me, bloody useless!! Lol.
Well hopefully your LOs head with be engaged by then, keep doing lots of walking help the baby move down :) x
