Should I be concerned? I woke this morning to a very low belly and can finally breathe and eat again, but has me concerned if this is too early.

I'm high risk for another premature birth (my son was born at 27+2) and the Drs have said I'll go early this time too, but hopefully not for another month.

No discharge (other than I think I peed myself) and no cramping.

I called the hospital and waiting on a nurse to call me back.

Any advice?

No advice as this is my first,
But it does sound common from what ive read for baby to drop about this time..

Good luck and let us know what the dr says :flower:

With your first you will drop early, with my son I dropped around 35-36 weeks and he didn't come until I was 41 weeks. With your 2nd though you don't usually drop until right before labor, I think with my daughter I dropped a day or 2 before I had her...I would call your docs hun and at least let them know! Hope your LO sits tight for a bit longer!! :hugs:

no advise, but im in 2nd tri....an took my 22+ wk bump pic, an put it with my 20wk bump pic an ive dropped loads, at my last scan i was told babys head is realy low down, so im a little concerned that il go early to?? xx

1st babies tend to drop early, I have known 1st time mums to be told they are engaged from 30 weeks and they still carry on for another 10 weeks! However this being your second baby its quite unusual for a baby to nestle down into the pelvis and engage until right before labour. Too much pressure on a cervix that has already opened once before can cause early dilation. I would also get checked for your waters leaking for what you thought was urine. x x

My son never dropped until I pushed him out :haha: His goal from the start was to reach my ribs and he didn't seem to want to leave them! (He was also breech and only turned in the last couple of weeks) He arrived almost on time according to LMP's due date, just a couple of days early.

This one has stayed low and is constantly ramming my cervix  It's a completely different misery than the kicks to the ribs I received from son. I've also been getting alot of pains in my lower stomach and pressure "down there". My dr said if after I sit down and relax they DON'T ease up or go away, give her a ring.

I hope I don't go early. My c-section is scheduled for Jan 22.

I'd just watch out for any cramps/pressure that don't go away. It's what my dr told me. You did the right thing telling your nurse, just in case :flower:

Just got back from assessment. All looks good and I just peed myself.

They said they aren't worried about me going into preterm labour as I've hit a good stage for the baby to be born (altho longer is better). So that's good at least.

I dropped a few weeks back too, I was worried she would come early but a few weeks on and things are still the same, and this is my second one too :flower:

I'm at 36 weeks now, but my belly dropped significantly about 3 weeks ago and baby was head down at that point. I've been able to feel him burrowing down further as well. But, I still don't feel like I'm going to go into labor right away. I think that's a fairly normal time for baby/belly to drop. :)

Yesterday I felt baby was really low and head butting my cervix, but today they are higher up again. I don't remember feeling this with my first but I'm not worried, I've heard lots of instances of baby being engaged early but not arriving till much closer to their due date

I think I dropped around week 34 and I gave birth at 36 +1 and he was my first baby. Low risk and no risk factors. So you may go early! I was so unprepared haha.

Super news! I'm on edge for another preemie too but they've not told me I'm at risk - my waters broke last time and we don't know why. So glad it's good news as I think I've dropped too :S
