I have a 6.5 week old baby. At night he will eat 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours but during the day he seems like eats all day but in small amounts. I'll feed him and he will only eat an oz or two. Then he will be hungry agian within next hr or two. I can't get him to eat more so he just hungry all the time. Is this normal? How can I get him to eat more at a time and go longer between feelings?

He is probably cluster feeding due to a growth sport. Not much you can do about it at this age. You might try similac for spit up control. My baby doesn't spit up much but someone have us some of that kind and it seams to keep him full longer

Yeah, definitely not uncommon at this age. Honestly, our baby didn't start feeding regularly until 3+ months!

Yep, sounds like cluster feeding. I remember wondering if it would ever end, haha. I was also super worried because at 6 weeks my son was drinking double the recommended amount of formula! I was sure he would become obese hahaha. So silly. It was just a bigggg growth spurt. Babies know how much they need and when.
He drinks less now at 13 weeks than he did at 6! Sounds crazy but it's what's happened. He's on the 50th percentile for weight so everything is perfect and I'm not worried anymore.
It's tiring and worrisome but don't worry it will go back into routine soon x

Yep cluster feeding! And its worse during growth spurts!! Our little man is 14 weeks old now and is finally starting to go 3-4 hours between feedings but still sometimes its more often.

:haha: My 7 week old has been devouring between 4-6oz every 2-3 hours today! I say just go with it, as long as your LO isn't showing any signs of being unwell, then just let yourself be led by them. My DS is on comfort milk now as when he was on sma regular, he kept increasing his feeds, was never satisfied and yet would be screaming in pain in between feeds. We think he has a slight lactose sensitivity, hence the comfort milk. He's much better & regulated himself better too. x
