Im bottle feeding and my son is 11 weeks old and from a few days after he was born he wouldnt take his night feed so my health visitor told me to not give him it and just give him a 'top up' before i went to bed around 11pm, i would have to wake him up around 6am for his next. he would even stay asleep during that!
well for the last month iv stopped his top up feed and just let him have his last usual feed around 9:30 and he sleeps right thro until 6am. ( i know im lucky!)

Trouble is ..his last feed 2night was 7:30 and because its 11:30 now he is fast asleep and wont take his feed! I know he would totally sleep until 6am without a feed..i dont want to leave him tht long..even if i tried to wake him up at 4 he would fall asleep on it!

My health visitor says he will cry if he wants it so its not doing any harm, but surely 10 and a half hours is too long to go without a feed???!

Hi hun. Mine dropped all night feeds at 12 wks & started to go for 12-13 hrs without feeds in between. So it's normal. He was only taking 4 bottles during the day one every 4 hrs around 5-6 oz each. So he was having 20-24 ozs.

ETA: Omar is a big baby & it never affected his weight gain xx

Thanks so much for the reply! i didnt wanna be waking him up all night trying to force feed him! xx

Leave him, i would! Honestly at that age, they would wake up if hungry! Enjoy the nights sleep xxx

Oh I am jealous!! I will be resenting you while giving my LO his 3 nightly feeds!! :haha: Definitely leave him and enjoy the sleep!!

I agree to just leave him at this age and let him wake if he gets hungry, and hopefully that won't be until 6am!

Lewis 12 weeks and sleeps 12-13 hours through the night. As long as he is getting ehough overall through the day he will be fine
