and i'm terribly guilty, i put him on the counter window ledge, it happen so quick, good thing the floor is carpeted, but still i felt so awful, baby has a small bump. so far everything is normal but still have to bring him to the doctor this saturday for assurance.

any mama who's bubba fell, i just feel so depressed and paranoid!

Ruby fell off a high bed onto the floor when she was 6 months old. She cried a lot for about 5 mins then was fine. I think a lot of us mums have had similar things happen...

I was holding my friends baby who is 8months, whilst she held my newborn. The baby was holding herself up between my legs and I turned to put my baby wipes down, next thing I know her baby was face down on a hardwoood floor screaming!!!

She came up with a bump on her forehead, times the guilt by 10 I swiftly left, and avoided her for a while...She wasn't a close friend we went to school together and bumped in to each other so decided to have a catch up.

I have since been invited back round so she must've forgiven me xx

My OH left my LO when she was 6 months old on a changing table to sort out her cot- almighty crash, she fell to the floor and the wood part of the changing table fell on top of her, she was fine, we werent!!!

, she was fine, we werent!!!

absolutely right, the guilt lingers awhile, my hubby even scared me last night when i told him, he said, that its a good thing baby is ok or with that fall baby might break his neck! i hated OH,:growlmad: he made me have nightmares last night!

Awww we all make mistakes. I think it's happened to everyone or will happen to everyone at some point :hugs: On the first night home from the hospital I hadn't gotten any sleep the past three days Kenny was born & I was trying to rock him to sleep on the rocking chair. I ended up falling asleep and he fell out of my arms. He was only three days old    I was such a mess, I felt like so terrible and I just kept thinking something bad was going to happen. Thankfully everything was okay, but that was the last time I went in that rocking chair!! ha!

Don't worry about it though, hope the doctor's goes okay! It happens to the best of us! :flower:

Emma fell once when she was up in her bumbo on the dining room table while I worked on a quilt. I was about 20 feet away when I saw her start to climb out and fall, and I got to her and caught the back of her clothes within a few inches of the floor. I have no clue how I got there that fast but she didn't hit. Thank god. But she has fallen off our bed several times and has always been fine. I know how hard it is because we feel so guilty but they really forget and we are the ones worrying and upset. :hugs::hugs: have a read in the guilt free confessional on here, I bet it will help you feel better. :D

He fell 3 ft from the changing table to the hardwood floor a few months back and most recently he crawled off the bed and face planted onto the floor. I never took him to the doctor because he was fine after a good cry.

Zander jumped out of my arms when he was about 8 months I was sitting in a recliner and he hit hardwood floor head first and had a huge not on his head and I took him to the dr right after but he was ok I was a mess crying about it though :(

I know it sounds awful but babies and young children are bouncy! I think they have to be to survive all the inevitable falls and bumps they experience. I'm also pretty sure "falling off something" is an official milestone and a rite of passage for all parents! You know it's all ok when you find yourself thinking "phew, at least it was with daddy and not me this time!" rather than, "omg, I have to call an ambulance!" :haha:

H has dived off the bed three times!! Terrible mummy!

You're not horrid hon - that's why you feel so terrible. Lo will be fine xxx
